It was the 14th of February and instead of indulging in the gift-giving season, thoughts were racing inside the agile mind of Erwin Smith.Trying to figure out what to give his boyfriend came with great difficulty as Erwin knew Levi didn't like anything too cheesy, but assumed he would be disappointed if the blonde didn't do something special on this day.
He spun in his office chair, the bright sun shining in his face everytime he swung near the window. 'It is awfully a nice day outside....' Erwin internally spoke. 'Maybe we could have a picnic...? Wait, that'll be too boring....Or maybe we should go to an amusement park...? Wait...no, no, no, Levi is still too short to go on the rides-'
Erwin looked outside his office and wandered back to the time he read Romeo and Juliet. A quick, pitiful ending, but a very sweet example of love, similar to what Erwin and Levi share.
Erwin then remembered the famous balcony scene, a unique (and quite overused) way of showing love (and also stalking).
He gasped. To him, this was a good idea, better than having anything that required a 'You must be this tall to ride' sign.
*Time skip brought to you by Levi's small footsteps*
It was the mid-afternoon and Levi was going to clean Erwin's room. He knocked a few times and after hearing no answer, he still let himself in. Before he started, Levi opened the window to let in some fresh air into the muggy atmosphere of the room.
"It is my Levi! O, it is my love!"
Confused, Levi looked out the window to see where the familiar voice was coming from. He then looked and found a blushing Erwin who just returned from a mission.
"Pfffft. Don't tell me this is another one of your Romeo and Juliet phases." Levi scoffed, a small smile on his face.
"Nay, my love. I just want to celebrate this day of affection by reading you a poem a made myself."
Erwin brought out a small scroll and was almost about to read it aloud until he heard a broom drop to the floor from above.
"You can read that shitty poem after you help me clean."
"But it'll be quick it's only a few lines."
Erwin used his ODM gear to grapple himself close to the window so that Levi could hear him.
Levi stared into the blue alluring orbs of the tall male as he read. He felt a giddy feeling in him that was too strong to supress, as if butterflies were in his stomach. It was a weird feeling...one that no one could give him other than the man currently a few inches below him.
Impulsive but filled with trust, Levi held on to one of the curtains and threw himself into Erwin's grasp.
Erwin didn't say anything, though he dropped the poem, following through with whatever action Levi performed. Like magnets, they pulled closer to each other, not caring at all what anybody thought, but focused on feeling the other's soft lips brush theirs once again.
