Monokuma had just made the night time announcement. Now, will they rest in their dorms like good little students or sneak out in the middle of the night? Remember, sleeping anywhere that isn't a dorm room is not permitted by the rules!

Ash sat in her bed and read, preparing to go to sleep.

"Today was a good day... Except for the whole thing about being forced to kill each other." Ash thought before speaking aloud, under her breath,"I should probably get to sleep."

With that, she sat her book down and pulled the covers over herself.

"Can't wait for tomorrow..." Ash thought as she drifted off.

Kirari headed back to her dorm, softly humming. She stepped inside and frowned at the bland room. She would have to decorate tomorrow. Kirari slipped into her pj's and crawled into bed, excited for the next day.

Technically he wasn't breaking any rules but Daiko was sat in the library quite a while after the night time announcement was made. There was a pile of books he had found and thought could be helpful beside him, the only sound being ticking of his watch. He was tired but... He couldn't sleep. He'd never admit it to anyone but he was absolutely terrified.

Ray threw a fifth dagger at a target. He was so paranoid, he was planning on keeping kitchen knives on him at all times to seem intimidating and he needed practice.

Akira was bored. After leaving the library earlier, she'd fallen asleep and now she wasn't tired. Plus, she couldn't destroy anything because of the stupid rules. Well, maybe she could find a lighter since her's had been missing ever since she got here. With that, Akira had made up her mind. She skipped out of her dorm, obviously not locking it behind her.

Sancia was terrified. She had just about zero allies and no one to rely. She sank into her bed, wishing for the comfort of her Burmese cat. She could almost feel Django purring in her lap. She held a book in her hands but she had long since given up attempting to read it. She just wasn't able to focus and she wouldn't be able to sleep either. Sancia needed something to defend herself with; a weapon. And so she stood, dumping her book onto the covers and heading out of her dorm. Sancia pushed open the dining hall doors, flinching as the previously dead silence was broken by the jarring creak it made. Her mind wandered as she stumbled between tables, searching the shadowed room for the kitchen door. She had to almost physically force away the thought that she might die tomorrow. Sancia eventually found it, letting out a breath of relief when she discovered the hinges weren't nearly as rusty as the last door's she'd entered. She scoured the kitchen cupboards, eventually finding a knife rack tucked inside one of them. Half of the knives were gone. It scared her to think that someone else had already come to the same conclusion as she had. That someone else was ready. She took one blade, a large one, before pulling off the scabbard thing kitchen knives always had and examining the silver. It seemed fine so she ripped a thin tea towel and used it to fasten the knife to the pocket of her jumper.

"What's that for?"

Sancia jumped, pulling out the knife with speed and brandishing it in front of her.

Stevie flinched back,"I'm sorry, please don't hurt me!"

"Holy shi- Shoot!" She let her hand fall to the side,"I'm so sorry! I didn't- I wasn't- Sorry.."

"Oh, it's fine." Stevie tried assuring her,"That was my fault for sneaking up on you."

Sancia bit her lip, tucking the knife back into it's sheath. She was horrified at what she'd nearly done and the adrenaline was still pumping through her veins.

"That was one hundred percent my fault. I'm sorry..." She was silent for a bit before asking,"What are you doing here anyway?"

Her tone was slightly harsh but she hadn't meant for it to be, she was just curious.

"Well, I was making sure everything was still alright for tomorrow." Stevie told her, fidgeting with her hands.

"What do you mean?" Sancia tilted her head ever so slightly, reducing her silent prayers that Stevie wouldn't try to kill her but then she thought,"She doesn't really seem like that type of person."

"Did you not get my note? About all of us meeting up here tomorrow at 8:30?" Stevie asked.

"I don't think so..." Sancia shook her head,"Where did you leave it?"

"In your dorm." Stevie told her,"I suppose it doesn't really matter anymore, you know now."

"Yeah." She tugged at her shirt,"What's the meeting about?"

"Just a sort of role call and breakfast, I thought it would make people feel safer." Stevie shrugged.

"That's pretty nice of you." Sancia said, looking at Stevie directly for the first time,"Will you... Need the knife? I can put it back if you want."

Sancia then glanced back at the almost empty rack.

"No, you can keep it." Stevie told her.

Sancia smiled a little,"Thanks."

"Now get to bed." Stevie pointed,"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about you being here."

"Thanks again, Stevie." She fiddled with her top,"You should get back to your dorm as well. I don't know what tomorrow's gonna bring... But it probably won't be good."

And with that, Sancia turned, making her way quickly from the darkened kitchen and back into the hallway. Stevie watched her leave, sliding down the wall once she was sure Sancia was gone.

"Oh god... I nearly died." She sat there, shaking slightly.

Sancia rapidly unlocked her dorm, collapsing inside. She was breathless from sprinting down the corridor and trembling with the terrifying thought that her instincts had almost murdered someone. An innocent girl. A could've-been friend, even. Sancia felt like crying but she was too exhausted. She was a mess but she didn't have the energy to do anything about it. She settled with stumbling over to her bed and crawling under the covers, tossing and turning until she fell into a broken sort of slumber.

"Good morning, everyone! It is now 7 a.m. and night time is officially over! Time to rise and shine! Get ready to great another beautiful day!" Monokuma spoke through the intercom.
