They must have already sold the boys because as soon as we reached the doorway the first girl was pushed onto the stage. She had long brown hair that fell to her waist, she was dressed the same as the rest of us. Her green eyes flickered with fear before masking her emotions. Immediately screens began flashing as bids were made by the seated aliens. The numbers got higher and higher until there were just two left bidding. After a few more bids one of them gave up.

"The highest bid for human 10929 is $120,000, would anyone else like to go higher?" An alien I hadn't noticed before asked the crowd. He was tall, about seven feet dressed in a suit with a green bow tie. No one had answered him so he motioned for her to be taken out to wait until the auction was over. The next girl had blown hair and hazel eyes. There was a small scar under her eye and another one on her forehead. She was pushed forward and as soon as she stepped out, the bidding began. There were only three more girls between me and the stage. The bid ended at only $10,000 this time.

The next two had quick biddings, one ending at $50,000 and the other at $40,780. The girl in front of me had large dark brown eyes and her hair was dirty blond. Her front lip trembled as she stepped out, and a large scar on her cheek became visible under the lights. No one moved as the bidding stayed at zero. After a few minutes of silence the alien in the suit walked to the stage.

"Does no one want this human?" He asked the crowd. I stood holding my breath hoping someone would buy her, if she wasn't they would kill her for their own entertainment. There was a moment of silence. But as he was about to speak again, a screen glowed blue with a bid, $1. It wasn't much but she was safe. "Sold, for a dollar?" He sounded as if he was asking someone. The guards brought her back, and then I realized I was next.

They shoved me hard causing me to lose my balance and fall onto the stage. I pushed myself to my feet, swaying as I stood there. There was only one thought in my head. What if no one wants me. Will I not be as lucky as the girl before me? The aliens before swirled around, the stage was spinning under me. I stared at the ground trying to stop the wave of nausea threatening to envelope me.

I took deep breaths, unable to stop the spinning only slowing it down. I looked around for bids. 10,000, 10,500, they continued to rise finally stopping at 20,750.

"Human 10989, sold for $20,750!" He called. They pulled me off the stage and down a different hall I had been unable to see from where I had stood waiting. The other five girls stood waiting for the auction to be over. Their eyes were wide with tears threatening to spill out. Most of them were shaking and I turned away from there faces, unable to face the reality of what was happening. There were four more girls being auctioned this week. A short brown haired girl with trembling legs, a tall girl with curly black hair. There was a blond haired girl with brown eyes, a plumper girl with auburn hair and big eyes, and the last girl was a red head. She stood and a few tears had fallen down her cheek.

The first girl was sold, $103,000.

The next girl, $20,945.

$34,565.

$49,000.

Then finally the last girl, the last person between me and my new master.

$50,000. Sold.

Now my new master would come pick me up. Our hands were tied in front of us before the aliens began arriving to take us.

They showed a card to the guards, proof they had bought one of us.

Minutes passed and no one came for me. There were only two of us left, me and the girl who had been sold for a dollar. After a few more moments there was still  no sign of my buyer, I began to worry. Would they kill me if he didn't show up? I felt my stomach churn at the thought, would I become just another smear on the floor.

Just then an alien hurried over, showing two cards to the guard who allowed him to take both me and the other girl. He towered over us at about six and a half feet. His hair was blond and he worn

He led us to a docking bay where his ship was. The slave ship we are on is built on top of an asteroid so when there is an auction the docking bay is packed.

"Keep up!" The alien yelled to us above the noise of the other aliens who were already leaving. We quickened our pace, fearful of what might happen if we didn't. Finally we reached a ship and stopped. It was grey and large, it looked like a truck with hover fans instead of wheels. "Get in." He ordered as he opened the back.

I climbed in and sat down next to the other girl. As my eyes adjusted lights flickered to life. They weren't small like the one we had in the cells, they were bright, illuminating every inch of the space.

As I was looking around I spotted them, two boys in the far corners.
