CHAPTER FIVE
valentine special
━━━━━━━━━━

(Y/N) NEVER LIKED Valentine's day. There were multiple reasons why she didn't like it but one of the main reasons was because she had no one to spend it with, romantically of course. Sure, she had Bonten and stuff but they never went out of their way to ask her out on a date. It just made her feel like they only jokingly liked her and that was the shittiest feeling she experiences whenever she suddenly gets uncomfortable with all their flirting.

Don't get her wrong, she loves and adores the attention but it gets to a certain point where she thinks that they actually don't like her. And the fact she's practically a wanted criminal doesn't help either so she can't fall in love with someone like any normal person. There's risks and a certain level of trust. This only made her think that this was her punishment for killing people.

"Man, I just want to fall in love..." Her voice came out like a whisper as her eyes dreamingly stared out the window with a small pout. She played with her pen in hand while her other hand held her head up.

"Is there something you will like to share with us, (y/n)?" Kokonoi's voice broke her out of her trance, a sigh escaping her mouth due to it.

"No, I'm good."

"You sure? You've been staring out the window throughout this whole meeting while mumbling how you wanted to fall in love or something. You probably wouldn't have noticed if we were talking about whether we should fire you." Takeomi let out a small chuckle before stretching.

"Shut the fuck up, Takeomi. Go kill yourself." The (h/c) angrily mumbled back while giving a death glare.

"W-Wha—"

"Yeah, Takeomi. Go kill yourself."

"What's going on in that pretty, little head of yours, (y/n)? You're making me worried..." Ran pouted while staring worryingly at the sad girl.

"That's none of your business. I'm just not feeling well; Which by the way, boss can I go home?" She said with her melancholy voice.

She usually was never this sad and it honestly made her feel even more sad for feeling this way. Mikey and the others were quick to notice her depressed state but didn't know how to reach out to her and when they did, she was stubborn enough to not say what she really feels.

"No."

"Okay."

'Okay something is definitely up.' They all stared at her with a suspicious look, which by the way looked weird, but (y/n) pretended to ignore them so they could hopefully stop doing their weird ass faces.

"Stop being a stubborn bitch, (y/n) and tell us what's going on." Rindou annoyingly said to her with a bored look. He knew that he shouldn't have called her a bitch but she was getting on his nerves and he wanted to see if she would retort back.

"Don't wanna."

"You little shit—" He was about to reach forward over the table to grab her by her shirt before Ran pulled him back.

"K"

"I'm going to sho—" Before he could finish his sentence Kakucho quickly covered his mouth so they wouldn't hear what he was about to say.

All throughout, (y/n) remained nonchalant with an icky feeling in her stomach. It was almost like she was desperately trying not to cry right there and then. If she did they would surely make fun of her and she wasn't in the mood for that.

"Please, Manjirō, can I go home?"

Silence; Literally no one said a word. The silence was broken by Mochi who coughed before whispering a small apology.
