2 years after

jongho looks inside his pocket and clears his throat. seonghwa raised a brow and motioned to hand it over. the others were there too, watching. except that yeosang wasn't there. jongho groaned and pulled it out, giving it to seonghwa. seonghwa squealed as he looked at the velvet box, vigorously shaking hongjoong.

"what, what?!" hongjoong scowled

"look! j-jongho had this in his pocket!"

"wa- wait! isn't that a ring box?" wooyoung snatched the box and took a quick look at it before mingi snatched it from him.

"he-hey hey! be careful with that! it's expensive!" jongho snapped, gently taking the box from mingi.

"you're going to.. propose to him?" san beamed with glee

".. yes...but don't tell him anything! i'm taking him out to the beach and i'm proposing to him there..."

"you're so plain" wooyoung snickered

"shut up, young. i'm sure yeosang doesn't mind anything you do, jongho" yunho pats his back

"...thanks yunho. it's 6 p.m. now, i've to pick him up" jongho rushed out without saying goodbye.

jongho put a hand over yeosang's while his other hand steered the wheel. a smile crept up yeosang's face, getting shy. "jjongie, why did you want to bring me to the beach?" yeosang curiously asked. "i just want to spend time with my angel. don't you want to spend time with me?" jongho chuckled.

"of course i do!... it's been a while since i've been to the beach. i've been wanting to go here for a while. did you read my mind or something?"

"hmm, i don't know, maybe?" jongho held up yeosang's hand and planted a kiss on the back of it. "jongho?"

"yeah angel?"

"aren't you tired of your red hair?"

"i'm planning to dye it black tomorrow. will you help me?"

"well, i'm a great hairstylist myself so i don't see a problem with me dyeing your hair" yeosang praised himself. jongho knew for a fact that yeosang indeed is an amazing hairstylist. he's experimented many hairstyles on jongho and complimented about how handsome he is whenever he has the chance to.

the couple got out of the car. the sun was already going to set and they settled on their own mat which they had neatly spread out. yeosang's head was on jongho's shoulder, watching the sunset going down together with him. the ambience of the sky was beautiful, painted in shades of red and orange. it was slowly turning dark and stars were appearing. jongho looked at the boy beside him and couldn't resist his adorable he is.

"hey, jjong?"

"yeah?"

"...catch me if you can!" yeosang laughed, getting up on his feet and running. jongho scoffed and shouted, "hey, come back here!" he ran after him like a wild animal. yeosang was exhilarated. the wind blew in his face as he ran freely on the huge land of sand. eventually, he stumbled at some point and fell on his knees. jongho grew worried and picked him up bridal style.

"you alright, angel?" jongho chuckled, kissing his forehead.

"yes, i'm alright...put me down!" he demanded. jongho offered his orders. he took a deep breath. it was time... jongho got down on one knee and held yeosang's hand. the older boy was confused.

"h-hey, you did nothing wrong! what are you doin-?" yeosang was about argue but jongho interfered, "yeosang. my journey with you for all these years have been so exciting. it's never been boring when you're around. from being your bully to your friend and then.. here i am, kneeling down in front of you. yeosang, you've always been so nice. i never deserved you in the first place but you were made for me. and i was made for you. you made me feel like i could always be there for you and you would always be there when i need you too " he talked slowly, letting yeosang process everything that's happening at the moment, "will you marry me, choi yeosang?" jongho finally professed, pulling out a velvet box and opening it to reveal a perfect diamond ring. tears filled yeosang's eyes to the brim as he watched. he cracked a smile and began crying out of pure joy. without any hesitation, he cried out, "yes! yes, i'll fucking marry you, jongho!"

the red haired boy took the ring out of its place and slid it onto yeosang's spouse finger. yeosang gazed at the ring and broke out into tears again, jumping in jongho's arms. "choi yeosang? jongho, you sly fox" yeosang beat his shoulder and nuzzled his face deep into jongho's neck, earning a light chuckle from the younger.

"since you said yes, can i get a kiss?"

"fuck it, you're getting a big smooch from me, big guy. also, choi yeosang sounds cute" yeosang kissed him long and softly. it was sweet. jongho swore that they could stay this way forever. they walked along the shore, hand in hand as their fingers intertwined perfectly with each other. every minute, yeosang would look at the ring with love in his eyes. not like jongho would've noticed but he does anyway. and it was cute.

"do you like it?" jongho inquired. "hm?" "do you like the ring?"

"of course. it's the prettiest thing i've seen all time.."

"that's why i bought it. it reminds me of you" jongho smiled, stealing a glance at a blushing yeosang.

"w-we're getting married.. i'm so happy. i can't wait to live with you for the rest of my life" yeosang choked on his words. he was getting so emotional.

"i'll forever be with you. well, of course, not all the time because i might have work or -"

"i know,i know!" yeosang snorted, pushing jongho. the newlywed couple spent the rest of their day exchanging kisses and hugs with each other, loving each other unconditionally.
