  Kim Namjoon didn't know what to say as he stared at the pictures on his phone. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that the intimate pictures he was staring at were actually real and not the work of a skilled photoshopper trying to make a quick buck. He hadn't uttered a single word since he had been forcibly awakened by the shrill ringtones of both his phones- sponsored and personal- and was promptly sucked into the hailstorm of chaos that was beginning to unfold in the wee hours of the morning. He was bombarded with text messages and calls from friends, family, the company and PD-nim himself, if he had known about Jimin's sexuality and the answer was no.

He had no idea that Park Jimin, his long term bandmate- and best friend- was fucking gay. It was completely and utterly a blindside that he did not see coming in all of his years of being next to the man. He had known Jimin for nine years and never had the discussion of his sexuality ever come up in any of their conversations. He had just assumed his members were straight based on the fact that they also partaken in the porn videos he downloaded onto their computers back in the old days. But now he sees the error in his ways. Errors that could have been prevented if the topic had been brought up in their group discussions early on instead of it happening like this.

But then again, how is it his mistake if it wasn't his responsibility?

It was Jimin's duty to disclose that fact to him or to their managers at the very least prior to joining the group so countermeasures could be put into place as a precaution. It would've been the smarter and appropriate choice in the grand scheme of things.

So to him, Jimin's actions were selfish. Selfish because a scandal of this magnitude could very well be the end of their group as they knew it.

He understood that Jimin was just trying to protect himself but his silence inadvertently aided in his own downfall. A downfall that he selfishly pulled them down along with him without a second thought.

But again, he understood it. Even when his thoughts were all over the place and became repetitive, he still understood Jimin's actions.

He understood because it's been seen before. How homosexuality had taken someone's dream away.

It was widely known that South Korea was conservative and still behind on the big acceptance wave and equality rights despite the public outcry for more justice and peace but the tide was slowly changing. Slowly tipping on its axis in the right direction like other places in the world.

But that was where the issue lay. It was too slow. Too slow to soften the impact of Jimin being outed by a selfish bastard that wanted a slice of fame. Too slow to stop Jimin from selfishly choosing silence and inadvertently affecting the group.

In his eyes, the slowly evolving world was selfish. Park Jimin was selfish. And Kim Namjoon, in his anger, was being selfish…

"Well what the fuck is this shit?" Min Yoongi croaked as soon as he got off the phone with a frantic manager telling him to get ready to leave within the hour. He scrolled through his twitter timeline, seeing Jimin's blissfully unaware and barely covered form in several leaked pictures online. "Yah, Park Jimin! Get your naked ass off my screen!" He slipped into satoori, scrunching his nose as more pictures flooded his timeline.
