Everyone knew Lucifer wasn't one to sit around and wait for things to go his way. No, he took matters into his own hands. Made sure everything played out exactly how he wanted it. He probably had played the very moment in his head a million times before it took place. Mapping out every single little detail. It had to be perfect. And it was.

The gaping mouths of the brothers, the anxiety flowing through Cas' vessel. Everything went precisely how he had envisioned it, renouncing a pleased smile on his face as he had Lilly once more in his hands.

"Where are we?" Lilly's voice echoed but was unlocatable in the pitch blackness surrounding her. "What do you want from me!" she screamed, pain clearly present in her voice. As her eyes slowly adjusted, the night sky glistened in the twilight. Stars high above smiled down onto her, and so did Lucifer.

Sand. It became clear now, miles and miles of sand as far as she could see until everything got dissolved into darkness. "I gave you everything you wanted!" she cried, but once more; only silence bounced back to her. He took a step closer, the little light casting a shadow of his broad figure in front of her feet. "So, you're gonna kill me after all? After years in hell. Months on Earth, you're really gonna do it?" Confusion was the only thing going through Lilly as the normally, chatty Archangel, stayed silent. He took another step, Lilly standing her ground. "Touch me, and you'll burn," she threatened.

"You know I'll win."

"And you know I'll fight."

"I won't kill you, Lilly." His words made a sour smile appear on her lips.

"So you drag me to a dessert? For what? Tea and biscuits?" Lucifer took another step, discomfort finally hitting the girl that tried so hard to stay still. Her heel dragged in the sand for a single inch, hesitant.

"You still don't have a clue, do you?"

"Don't hit me with that crap again." She cut him off.

"You give out pieces of yourself to people but never let them see the complete picture. I've seen it. I know who you are." He took another step, Lilly-Mae mimicked his action.

"Right, here we go again with those absurd stories. I don't know you, Lucifer. At least not before I entered that damned cage you lured me into." Her anger caused a smile to appear on the devil's face.

"If we didn't know each other, how was I able to make a connection with you, Lilly? The second you fell through that portal. My heart lit up like a fireplace. I could feel you again!"

"Stop!" Lilly roared as she approached him, her eyes fixated on his as her blood boiled. "Either you kill me now or bring me back to where I belong. You've played enough games with me!"

"I'm getting sick of this." Lucifer's tone shifted, less forgiving as he closed the gap between them, him sticking out above her with head and shoulders. "Maybe today will be the day," he continued, menace appearing in his words. "Maybe today will be the day you'll see what you did to me."

"Fill my head with lies once more?" Lilly asked as the devil raised his hand. "Make me seek Thomas? Fill my heart with hope?" She laughed. "That part of me died alongside him." For a moment, his hand hovered in the air as they looked at each other. Things changed as time passed in hell. Perhaps they got used to each other. Maybe Lucifer had gotten bored. Lilly-Mae knew how dangerous he was. Staring into his red eyes once more caused every part of her body to turn itself against her. Yet she stood before him, her chin tilted upward to meet his gaze. That hovering hand made her question his intentions. "If you won't kill me, I want to go home."

"And I want to go to the Moon. It ain't happening, sweetheart. Time to accept that."

"Then what?"

"Being all alone here, it'll give you time to think some stuff through," Lucifer said as he placed his palm on her forehead. For about ten seconds, a ball of light radiated so brightly it was visible for miles on end. The screams that left the girl's mouth, making their way over countless hills. Silence returned alongside tranquility, Lilly collapsed on her side.

"Now take a good long look at what you've done to me," Lucifer said, then vanished.

Dean threw the trunk of baby shut, having almost completely emptied it out; prepared to rain down hellfire onto the Archangel that had picked the girl from his grasp.

"Check the bathroom. I've got a map," he instructed his brother. They were once more set to locate Lilly as they had almost a year ago.

"I'm not sure this trick will work again. We don't know what Lucifer is planning to do. He might have warded her, perhaps she is already dead," Castiel sounded as he trailed the oldest brother back into the motel. That last part didn't sit right with him. Making Dean turn around with a quick motion.

"What?" he asked, pretending he didn't just hear what the angel had said.

"Perhaps she–"

"No," Dean cut him off, "and I never wanna hear those words leave your mouth, ever again." he threatened.

The map went up in flames, and when they thought they were being given a general direction, the last paper burned up. The angel was right. Lucifer had tempered with her. The magic hadn't worked. They were desperate. Called every hunter they knew for information. Maybe, if luck was on their side, one hunter had picked up where the devil might have held up. The weather would give him away. Storms, earthquakes. It wasn't normal for such power to walk the earth. It wouldn't go unnoticed.

Four hours had passed, no luck thus far, although some friends had told them they would call back if they had more info. Dean's phone went off. Cas, being closest, answered.

"Dean?" a soft voice sounded at the other end of the line.

"Hello, who is this?" The angel asked, rather confused, realizing he had not looked at the number before picking up. He lowered the device for a second. An unsaved number.

"Cas?" Pain was to be heard in the voice, soft crying coming alongside his name.

"Lilly?" Cas asked as his heart fell to his stomach. "Where are you?" The brothers got involved or at least tried to. He didn't react, however, as the world around him seemed to freeze. The only thing on his mind was the crying girl.

"I don't know."

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?"

"No–but Cas–" she sobbed, "He showed me, I know who I am–"
