As the sun shined through the window and landed on your face. Getting out of bed, you look out the window at the school grounds.

Y/n: So this is Luna Nova. Akko's dream school, and my place of training.

Looking back at your personal room, which has been built for you specifically with a built in bathroom as to avoid accidents with the other students.

Speaking of which, you take a shower and put on your new uniform. Grabbing the Bestiary, you hear a knock on the door. A familiar voice comes from the other side.

Akko: Come on Y/n! We're gonna be late!

A small smile forms on your face as you head out if the door, meeting with Akko and the others.

Lotte: So are you excited about your first day?

Y/n: Well, I can only be but so excited. I don't use magic the same way you do, remember? When I'm not practicing magic in Homeroom with you, I'll be reading the Bestiary or training.

Lotte: Right. I'm sorry.

Y/n: There's nothing to apologize for. Go ahead and go on without me. I've still got one more thing to do.

Akko: Okay, just don't be late!

They walk off towards class as you go to grab your rosary and recite a prayer your dad taught you. The rosary began to glow before settling down again.

Y/n: Now to get to class.

As you walk through the halls, you look over to see two of the professors. Finnelan, who gave you a hard time last night and also an extra list of rules to follow as the only boy in Luna Nova. The other was Ursula, who greeted you and the others.

Suddenly, Ursula begins to stumble forward with the weight of all the text books. You run over and catch her before she fell, helping her regain her balance.

Y/n: Are you alright Professor? Let me take some of those.

Ursula: Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you Y/n. Well, I should get going Finnelan. Classes are about to start.

You follow Ursula to the classroom. As you enter the room, all eyes were on you once again. Whispers filled the room as you placed the books on Ursula's desk.

Ursula: Welcome to another year at Luna Nova. I am Professor Ursula Castillis, your Homeroom and Astrology teacher. However, it seems your attention is on our newest arrival. Please, introduce yourself.

You look over to the students and wave at Akko, who was happily waving towards you.

Y/n: My name is Y/n Belmont of House Belmont. I am seventeen years old, so same age as most of you. Headmistress Holbrooke allowed me to be here for my training.

As you introduced yourself, a few girls in front began talking amongst themselves.

Girl 1: I can't believe it. It's actually him.

Girl 2: What are you talking about Avery?

Avery: That's the boy who saved Hannah, Barbara and I yesterday.

They look back at you. As you finished, another girl stands up.

?: Excuse me, but I have a few questions.

Y/n: Sure, uh...

?: Diana Cavendish. Now you spoke of this House Belmont, yet I've never heard about them. And what kind of training are you talking about?

Y/n: Well, it's no surprise you haven't heard of us. Many years ago, when I was only five, the Vatican fell victim to whispers in the dark, rumors about Belmonts began to rise. The church came to a decision that the Belmonts be wiped out. And thus, there was a purge of all known Belmonts. As far as I know, I'm the last Belmont alive.

Regret washed over Diana's face.

Diana: I'm... terribly sorry. I didn't-

Y/n: It's alright. I don't let the past define me. In fact, Akko here helped me rise up from my pit of despair. And as for my training, all Belmonts were renounced monster hunters and vampire slayers.

Diana sat down as you were instructed to sit next to Akko and the others. She also looked over at her friends who were staring at you.

Diana: Hannah, Barbara, it is quite rude to stare you know.

Hannah: Sorry Diana.

Barbara: Yeah, but that is the boy we were saved by. You know the one we were telling you about.

Diana looks over at you, a mix of emotions filling her. On one hand, she was grateful that you had helped her friends. But on the other hand, she was still skeptical about having a boy in an all girls school. She had decided to keep an eye on you for a while.

As the day dragged on, it was now lunch time. As you read passages in the Bestiary, you feel the constant stares all around you. Thankfully, three familiar girls make their way over to your table to get your mind off it.

Akko: Why are all of these classes so boring?! I thought learning about magic was going to be fun!

Y/n: You never were the patient type.

She pouts at you as you chuckle. Sucy looks over at your book.

Sucy: Stone-eye Cyclops?

Y/n: Oh, yeah. The cyclops shoots a beam from its eye and if it hits you, you're turned to stone. However, I need to find a new Bestiary.

Lotte: How so?

Y/n: A good third of its pages are unreadable, another handful are missing. But Akko, you really should pay attention, no matter how boring classes are.

Akko: Yeah, you're right. And I'll do anything to be just like Shiny Chariot!

Diana: I'm sorry, did you just say Shiny Chariot?

You all turn to see Diana and her friends standing there.

Diana: I'll have you know that Shiny Chariot isn't respected here at this school at all. So I would suggest refraining from mentioning her here.

Akko was preparing to retort, but you placed a hand on her shoulder.

Y/n: It won't be very good to make a bad impression on your first day.

Hesitantly, Akko agreed and kept quiet.

Diana: Also, Y/n my friends have something to say.

The two girls you saved yesterday stepped up.

Diana: This is Hannah England and Barbara Parker.

The two wave and bow their heads at you.

Hannah: Thank you for saving us yesterday.

Barbara: We truly appreciate it. And thank you as well, Akko.

Akko: Oh, you're welcome!

Y/n: No problem, just doing my job.

Hannah: I'm sure that Avery would also like to thank you, but she might be a little wary.

Barbara: What did happen to those guys anyway?

Y/n: Well the first one stopped fighting and left it to his lacky, the second guy... let's just say he won't be seeing out his left eye anymore

The girls shudder at the implication. After thanking you one more time, the trio leave. Not long after, the bell rings, signaling lunch is over. The rest of the day went by uneventful, much to Akko's dismay.

As you prepared to turn in for the night, a knock came at your door. Opening it, Ursula was standing there.

Ursula: Hello again Y/n.

Y/n: Evening Professor. Is something wrong?

Ursula: Nothing's wrong, I just came by to tell you that I will be overseeing your magic practices. Starting tomorrow after school, we'll will begin.

Y/n: That's great! Looking forward to it!

She smiles and bids you goodnight. You climb into bed.

Y/n: So while today was Akko's first day of school, my first day of training begins tomorrow. I just hope I can live up to my family's standards.

You close your eyes, with both hope and doubt in your heart.
