He doesn't reveal to the others where he has led them. While Ambrose is not sure if he remains on Earth or is remains himself, he believes that if the year is not 2014, his mother will surely have a heart attack upon seeing him. Something has happened, most likely a death he has forgotten.
"The church is a few blocks away," Ambrose says. "They will provide us shelter."
"What about our families?" Nico asks. They are cold, but it is not as cold as a Chelster winter. There is no snow on the ground, no signs of slush from it melting. Clearly, time has passed. "Shouldn't we try to find them?"
"The police should be the first place we go," Leo says.
Eva isn't sure that the police nor her family are the right places to go. After all, her mother is, well, her mother. Besides that, she's having a bad trip and the police will surely do a toxic screen on her and discover her substance use. She may be of legal drinking age, but there is no legal age to consume illicit substances in bars from boys you hardly know. "I'd rather not."
"I'm going to the cemetery," Ester says, turning and leaving the group. The only way to confirm her suspicions is beyond its black gates.
"Wait up," Audrey says, because if on the impossible chance that Ester is right, they should not be in a church or a police station. Their best courses of action are to either kill themselves all over again or disappear into the wind, as far away from Chelster as possible.
Lydia wants to go to the cemetery too, so she can discover if Barry knows her or not. No part of her desires to see her parents or the police. When she begins to leave Barry follows.
"Sorry, but I need to go alone," Lydia is used to batting her eyelashes and saying words with a soft voice to get her way. Tipping Barry off to her intentions is the last thing she needs. "Just, I need to know for myself."
Together, the three of them walk off.
Nico looks at the others and rocks back and forth on their feet, "well, I'm going to go find my partner, Kye. I guess I will see you guys later?"
"We have no way to contact you," Clare calls after them.
They shrug and jog off, unsure of the roads in Chelster that would lead them to Kye. They'll find Kye. They know it. If they can navigate Montreal, they can do anything.
Without a word, Kaia heads off as well. She needs to see Rory, or whatever remains of Rory's house. Rory showed her around town, and so once Kaia gets to the stretch of stores that they call downtown, she is sure she can find her way to Rory. Chelster is dense though sparsely populated. It shouldn't take more than a few hours to find her.
Kaia used to believe she could hitchhike across the country to get to Rory. While she could hitchhike, yes, she isn't so sure she would put in the effort to find the girl to whom she has dedicated the last three years of her life.
"I'm going too," Fallon knows where she and Corrin share an apartment. She's lived in Chelster her entire life, and though she isn't sure she has ever seen the house before her, especially from the back, she recognizes the build. Her apartment building is probably an hour and a half away walking, so completely doable. If she had her wallet she'd call a cab, but it seems whatever brought her here stripped her of most of her possessions besides her clothes.
Where is that damn ring?
If they are dead, which Ajay doesn't know if they are, he doesn't want to petrify his family and cause some sort of heart attack. He'd rather go to the police. He's ex-military after all, and the police are sure to believe him, an RCMP officer, and a member of their own force.
