-A Turn In The Tide-

"Oh how freeing the ocean is..."

[Kunikida & Y/n's Apartment: Early Morning]

Loud knocks awoke Y/n as per usual. Her room was a little warmer than normal due to the approaching summer. Sitting up in bed she wipes her face reaching for her pocket watch by the bed, eyes adjusting to now being awake.

"It's my day off" Y/n whispers with a groan, falling back onto the bed annoyed.

"Kida!" She shouts getting no response. Getting out of bed she slips on an eyepatch before opening her door, hearing him on the phone in the living room. Wondering out in just her night shirt she tiredly looks at the bright eyed and bushy tailed blond.

"Where are you going?" Y/n asks when he hangs up the phone, handing her mug over, she takes it silently.

"Another bomb threat" Kunikida's stern voice made Y/n more tired some how.

"We have had too many of those this year" She mumbles into the edge of her mug. Kunikida looks at her still not being dressed.

"Wh—" Kunikida begins to question before she holds up a hand stopping him while she takes a big sip of tea.

"My day off" Y/n informs, Kunikida looks at their calendar on the wall noticing the large red marker square with 'Y/n's day off' written on it.

"I forgot, sorry" Kunikida apologizes which she waves off.

"S'alright" Y/n pats his back as she heads into the living room.

"I'll be back later" Kunikida grabs his things stopping at the door looking back at her.

"Be careful!" She yells back making him smile.

...

Sitting in the living room Y/n reads for an hour, enjoying the slow morning. Her phone buzzes shaking her out of the story she was reading.

"Hello?" Y/n answers only receiving silence in return, pulling the phone away from her ear she notices its an unknown number.

"Poe?" She questions again thinking it could be the man she just gave her number to. The phone hangs up soon after leaving her confused.

"Alright then..." She mutters setting her phone back on the couch. Standing up she stretches walking over to the window looking out at the busy street.

"Maybe I should go on a walk today" She whispers to herself noticing the groups of people laughing and walking down the street.

...

[Streets Of Yokohama]

The air was warm and pleasant, Y/n decided to leave her coat at home. Walking towards a park area near the harbor she stays silent just enjoying the lack of hectic men around her.
