Adrian was drowning.

Not the normal, help I can't swim, I'm drowning. No because he wasn't drowning in water.

He was drowning in guilt, worry and anxiety.

So here's a few reasons why.
1. His friend was missing and most people in the class where relieved 
2. His friend was missing and she could be hurt or kidnapped or in trouble 
3. Lila was worse than ever, even with marinette missing lila still managed to accuse her of bullying.

Like come on!

4. Ladybug when she came for the akuma battle that happened the other night, she said she couldn't stick around to find a run away teen, it wasn't her duristriction, they where hero's! Vigilantes! Everything was their duristriction if they wanted it to be...

Well maybe not murder investigations.

But returning run aways home to their worried parents, surely that was something they could do.

5. The school had had a visit from a member of the school board today, they started with doing class observations.

Adrian couldn't help but be worried as his class continued as they normally did, chloe doing her nails, Kim and Alex passing notes and dares, Nathaniel doodling, alya on her phone, lila stopping class for a story, evey time the class was interrupted the observer simply wrote on her clipboard with a stoney expression.

It was terrifying. Once the observer left the class cheered for they simply couldn't have failed right other wise she would have said something right?

Madam bustier didn't seem convinced as she continued to look worried.

"Don't worry madam, once they see that it's just marinette and get rid of her completely, everything will be fine" alya tried to reassure.

Adrian hadn't noticed before how the rest of the school stayed far away from his class, how students gave them all a wide birth and disgusted or angry looks and he couldn't help but shy away from it all.

Was it too much to ask everyone be nice and friendly.

The investigation with the school wasn't going as well as everyone thought, parents where being sent emails to have one on one meetings and permission for students to be interviewed where sent out.

The dupen chengs had banned anyone from the class coming in, on the days they where open anyway. They spent most of the week now out and looking for marinette.

Celebrities like Jagged and Clara had sent emergency bulletins out with pleas for her to return home.

Adrian just felt lost and ashamed. He wanted things to go back to normal.

When did lilas lies start hurting people? He felt like he could cry.

Alone in a crowded world where ever couldn't even have his own space.

He missed marinette. He missed hanging out.

Sabine was in her daughters room, picking up broken things, staring at them as if they held her daughters location.

The school board had started ots investigation. Marienttes expulsion was being looked into as she should have had a hearing where evidence of the crime was to be shown or evidence of innocence.

The news came back in the cctv in the halls just exactly what had happened and the school board had opened up a bigger investigation into the school.

She picked up a stuffed toy. It was a rabbit, marinette was given it when she was a day old, it was small and white with a flowery dress. One of the ears was torn and the dress ripped. Sabine sniffled, tears filling her eyes, this rabbit had been kept in brilliant condition until now.
