time and space

progresss is not a straight line

Marinette appeared back in the dinning Hall just as lunch was ending. 

She had heard the whispers of the school and her class mates disgusted comments about her mother.

The school had received another strike for the whole incident and marinette was sure they would find more.

The investigation was through and was indeed making plans on closing the school down and getting a new principal and a few new teachers.

But that's not what brought marinette to her knees as she pulled at her hair once the transformations dropped.

Her mother, her mother had been akumatised because she had ran away. And what the hell was with chat nior with his frustrating comments bout her not wasting time on a run away kid, (okay the kid was her and she wasn't ready to go home, and let's ignore the fact Ladybug lead the charge to find Adrian that one Christmas).

She for the 3 weeks she had been gone hadn't thought her parents would be that bothered. I mean she didn't see them most the time and lately when she did it was with weary looks of disappointment.

She knew they loved her, okay so maybe she knew they would be a little upset but can you really blame her? She didn't think it would be thay much of a problem.

And chat nior was blaming her! What!

Marinette might have agreed with him before this whole thing but coming to the temple she realised she spent so long looking after others she no longer looked after herself.

She had forgotten  what it felt like to laugh! She needed this time away and her parents wouldn't understand.

But still the guilt was there and the pain.

Seeing her mother crying her eyes out in the court yard holding a slightly ragged stuffed rabbit to her chest, it broke her heart, especially since she knew she wasn't ready to go back yet.

So she simply collasped on the floor in a fetal position and pulled her hair.

No tears, no sound. It was quite disturbing.

"Marinette?" The timid voice of summer came from around her and marinette flinched.

Summer settled on her knees behind marinette and tentivly reach to touch her but stopped before she made contact.

"Hey its okay..." summer whispered "your okay"

"No" marinette mumbled "no its not okay! No matter what I do people get hurt! No one wants to belive me! So I leave to stop it from happening, then people want me around and feel sad but I don't want to go back! Not yet! I'm not ready! I'm not..."

"No hey your okay, everything's fine"

But marinette didn't seem to hear her as marinette continued to whisper I'm not ready over and over again.

Summer watched worriedly with tiki and kalki on her shoulders both looking sadly down at the girl.

"I'll go get help" kalki whispered before disappearing out the halls.

Summer inched forward and asked marinette if she could touch marinette but recieved no answer so summer pulled marinette into her lap and started to stroke her hair and sang and daunting tune.

"Ladybird, ladybird fly away home... your house is on fire...
And  your children are gone....
All except one...
Her name is Ann
And she'd crept under the frying pan."

Summer couldn't think of another song at the moment but the song broke marinette out of her spiral and instead the girl began to cry. Real tears cascaded down her cheeks as she silently cried.
