Blinding hangings of red, pink and silver took over the corridors and hallways of Oakwood High, silvery glitter, as well as red and pink paper hearts, were scattered all over the floors making quite a sight. The school committee had gone over the top for this year's valentine's preparations making the whole school seem like a romantic film set where a massive proposal was to take place.

Students bustled around the locker bay in a rush to quickly put away their things so that they could head to the love letter writing stall that was running in regards to the upcoming Valentine's day. Many of the girls were giggling amongst themselves, discussing who they were going to write a love letter to, while the boys overlooked them, nervous that the girl they liked was going to write to someone else.

Sivaangi fiddled with a Red Card which took the shape of a love heart. Her thoughts were all over the place and didn't realize that someone was calling out to her, trying to get her attention for the nth time.

"Excuse me! Aren't you supposed to be paying attention? I want this card delivered to Ashwin Kumar as soon as possible, and in no way should this card be damaged okay. And if you hand over the card in person I would appreciate it." a girl with long silky black hair called out with attitude, making Sivaangi roll her eyes at her. This was the 47th girl who had come requesting to send Ashwin a heartfelt love letter in pristine condition today.

"Sure thing!" Sivaangi said sweetly putting a fake smile on her face.

This year it was Sivaangi's turn to take care of the Love Letter writing stall and she absolutely hated it. Words weren't enough to describe how boring this job was, especially when half the girl population at her school came requesting her to send multiple letters to Ashwin. His locker probably wouldn't be enough to store all the letters he's going to receive at the end of the day.

"Hey! Meera, vaa! Who's the special someone?" Sivaangi ushered Meera towards her when the girl had hesitantly walked up to the table with a nervous look on her face.

"I-uh it's..." Meera drags with a small blush on her face. Meera was a friend of Sivaangi, both had entered into their first year of high school when they stumbled into each other at the library fighting over the same book. Getting to know each other, they shared their interests and likes and realized that they had the same tastes in a majority of things.

"Vekka padriya?" Sivaangi asked mischievously wiggling her eyebrows. "Ullaga athisayam da ithu, seekrama sollu who is it?"

(Are you blushing?) (Wow this is one of the wonders of the world! So who is it?)

Taking a nervous breath in, Meera whispered his name. Her voice was barely audible making Sivaangi scrunch her eyebrows together and ask Meera to repeat the name.

"Karthik" Meera said again, but a little bit louder this time.

Sivaangi squealed in delight, throwing her arms around Meera as she whispered congratulations to her with utmost excitement. "Karthik Anney will totally accept you, I've always had a feeling he had a secret crush on you!"

"Podi!" Meera pushed herself away from Sivaangi and hid her face in her palms to stop the blood rushing to her cheeks. Sivaangi giggled at her and moved behind the desk to get a red card for Meera.

Meera spun together words of love, care, admiration, and gratitude in her love letter signing it off with the phrase 'With Love, your secret admirer'. Meera had a feeling Karthik would easily figure out it was her if she wrote down her own name, even though there were about four to five Meera's in this school.
