Chapter 3: Three steps forward two steps back

You wake up the next morning in the room Isabella had led you to last night. Since there wasn't of space you share the room with your friends and the girl called X. You look around and see your friends fast asleep but X's bed was empty. You quickly get up. 'Damn what if a demon got in or something!' you think. You quickly dress and you start searching for the mysterious girl. You go to a door and quietly open it. You see Emma and some other children sleeping in here just like the ones in your room. You smile and close the door.

"You are loud you know that?" A voice says from behind. You turn and see X leaning against the wall. She waves at you like 'hello bitch'. You grind your teeth, even though the girl in front of you didn't have training like you, you want to fight her. X smiles seeing she ruffled your feathers. She stands up and walks over to you.

"Y/N right? I don't trust you and I don't care about you or your friends, but if you hurt any of the kids here that WILL be the last thing you do," she says. Then she walks away to the door and leaves. You are shaken up from the threat for the odd girl and you decide to go back to your room. As you walk through the door Hibiki waves and smiles at you. You feel warm inside when you see her. You two had been through so much together, then you remember the threat X made and you shiver. You would dream of hurting any of the children here but with the confidence X had made her threat with she was much stronger than you thought.

---In Isabelle's secret room-----

"You are sending more sisters! The children don't know anything about the farm! Why are you sending them?" Isabelle says angrily.

"Those girls that came in are more dangerous than you think. Any of them could end everything that we have, everything," they say over the coms. Isabelle shivers at the thought.

"Also one of the new sisters says she is the mother of the catgirl and she wants her back. We are letting her come now and in a month they will leave. You got all that?" the voice says.

"Yes I understand," Isabelle says.

"Now get ready for their arrival,"

-----A few hours later, Outside the house-----

You sit under a tree as a young boy runs up to you.

"Miss. Y/N? Will you play tag with us?" he asks. You smile.

"Yes, I will. It sounds fun!" You say. The boy grabs your hand and you both start walking towards Emma who has many children around her. You see that X is among them and is wearing a large smile on her face. 'It seems that odd, I wonder how old she is? She's tall but is she the same age as the other kids, maybe slightly older?' you think.

"Ready. Set. Go!" Emma says. You and the kids run away from Norman and run into the woods. You and X run together through the woods.

"Hey race you to the wall over there!" she says pointing at a large wall. She sprits off. You laugh and run after her. You both reach the wall at the same time and X laughs.

"You're fast!" she says.

"How old are you?" you ask. X rubs the back of her neck.

"I'm 13. How old are you?" she asks.

"I'm 14," you say. X nods. 'So I was right' you think. X's ears twitch and she puts a finger to her mouth. You quietly jump up into and tree and you sit there. Norman runs by and leaves. 'So she has sharp hearing,' you think. X sighs to you that it is safe to come down and you gracefully jump down.

"Didn't want to get caught yet right?" she says laughing. You smile, she looks cute when she laughs.

"Why did you threaten me this morning?" you ask. X looks at her feet.

"Well Y/N you are new and I didn't know your deal. I have lost people before and you guys show up with swords to this peaceful place. I didn't want to lose my new friends," X confesses. You nod, you understand why X did what she did. You too had lost important people when you were young. Norman pops up behind you.

"Got you," he says.

----Time skip, Inside--

"Children! We have two new sisters who have come to help out, come and meet them!" Isabella calls out. X runs in holding the hand of Phile. You, Hibiki, and Ichike were talking over in the corner so you look up and towards the new arrivals. Many other children rush in and surround them.

"This is Sister Daki," Isabella says motioning towards a woman with black hair tied up in a ponytail. Ichike grabs your hand.

"That is upper moon 6!" she whispers. Your heart skips a beat. 'No' you think 'this can't be happening!'

"And this is Sister Priscilla," Isabelle says waving a hand towards a white-haired woman who had her hair tied up in a bun, "Treat them as you would treat me. That is all," Isabelle says and walks away. Daki walks towards the doors and leaves.

"I'm going to follow her," Hibiki says and before you can warren against it she is gone. You look around for X and you don't see her, then see the white-haired woman walk away. You follow her, 'What if she is working with Daki! I have to learn about her'. You follow her down some hallways until there is a dead end. Low and behold X was pressed against the wall her tail the size of three sticks of bamboo.

"Long time no see, little cat," Priscilla tells X.

"Get away from me you bitch!" she yells. Priscilla looks taken aback. She slaps X across the face.

"That is no way to talk to your master, little cat!" she yells at X. X slides down the wall and lands on the floor.

"Also I know that one of your new little friends is here watching. So what do you want to do listen to me or let your friend die?" You finally realize that Priscilla knows you were there and had let you see everything. You don't know what the history between X and Priscilla is but you have to save your new company then again how?
