that night you couldn't sleep right. dabi's  words played repeatedly in your mind.

finally going to sleep you woke up early the next morning heading straight to his kitchen to start breakfast.

while cooking dabi comes down holding his head. "hi?" he questions looking at the back of your head.

you turn around and smile slightly. "Hey, how you feeling? need some water."

his brows rise in confusion. "sure?"

taking a seat he looks at you then what looks like understandment. he mumbles to himself running his hand through his hair.

you chuckle lightly shaking your head handing him a bottle of water. "you remember anything from last night?"

"not really just bits and pieces but just to be clear we didn't sleep together. did we?" you shake your head no.

"I didnt think so but I have a hickey-" he stops mid speech face turning into disgust. "Ugh that girl."

"yea.." you say lighty turning back to turn off the food. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." you mumble plating the food.

"thank you for saving me y/n." he says softly. you look up at him and smile. "Ofcourse Toya."

slowly you notice dabi's face turn red and he looks away clearing his throat. "I asked you out..." he says embarrassed.

"Heh. not really...." you mumble in a high pitched voice. dabi huffs planting his face in the palm of his hands. "I hate myself so much."

"don't say that." You warn, giving him his food taking a seat across from him. "Heh, yeah, okay." he says sarcastically.

"wow this smells amazing y/n and it tastes even better. god I miss your cooking. it's the absolute best."

you smile, "thank you dabi."

silence takes over as you enjoy the food which was in turn driving dabi insane.

"so... how's everything... with um work..."

that's in dabi ease your way into what we REALLY want to know.

"work is great, I'm actually thinking of expanding out on my own, maybe um," you clear your throat "...travel."

"Oh?"

WHAT THE FUCK, SHES LEAVING.

"That's, that's amazing. TRAVEL! Wow. with, with who? is it just you or... your boyfriend?"

your lips tighten in a straight line as your brows rise. "um yeah actually. me and shota was planning on going together, but im not too sure honestly. " you look to the side taking a sip of water.

considering me and shota aren't really an item anymore....

"right. shota. that guy, your boss right?" you nod once. " Hah, that's great, so great, well congratulations."

you felt so awkward and even sad.

"thank you again dabi, I'm really excited."

"I'm sure, I'm sure, that's always been your dream. we should celebrate!"

"Oh no that's fine, really."

"no, no,no, nonsense. I insist, I'm your friend after all. let's go out and do something. something fun, we are getting old just me and you like the old times."
