Bonnie and I made it to Mr.Tanner's a couple minutes before the bell rang, so we had first pick of the sets. We had Mr.Tanner last year and he basically hates me, He always complained about me using my parents death as and excuse to not knowing whats going on. But really I'm just bad at history. Bonnie and I picked some seats to the left of the class and in the back. We didn't want to be in his main vision when he asked questions we didn't know. Anyways the bell rang and Bonnie had already started to text me even though she was sitting a seat in front and to the right of me.
"New hottie starring at you."
That didn't make sense I hadn't seen a new kid. It's a small town I would have noticed. I looked around and sure enough one of the most gourgious guys I have seen in my life was starring at me from the other end of the class room. I say one of because of Damon, he was defently the hottest man I have ever seen. But this new kid wasn't far behind. I gave the stranger and smile and looked back down at my phone.
"OMG! He is really hot."
"No kidding!"
"Matt, when did the war end here in Mystic falls?" Mr. Tanner said always putting people on the spot. Matt sat there with a blank look on his face. "Surely Matt this would become a good time to prove your jock steriotype untrue."
"Nah, it's ok im cool with it." Matt said smiling now.
"Bonnie?" Mr. Tanner said now putting her on the spot. She shrugged her sholders, "Sorry Mr. Tanner. Don't know."
My phone had just buzzed again when Mr. Tanner said, "Mrs. Gilbert! What year did the war end here in our town Mystic Falls."
I cringed i had absolutley no idea. "Um..... Mr. Tanner I honestly don't know, I'm sorry."
"Mrs. Gilbert its been all summer you are not going to be able to use your parents death as an excuse anymore." I was on the verge of tears why would he say that to me in front of everyone.
"1892." The stranger said. I was shocked and sat there with my mouth open like a fish.
"Mr......." Mr. Tanner said looking down at his name sheet. "Mr. Stefan Salvatore, I didn't ask you now did I?"
"No sir." He said with a smile.
"So you know our towns history, any roots here?"
"Distant."
"Ok Mr. Salvatore" Mr. Tanner started naming out dates of things i had never heard, yet Stefan knew all of them until Mr. Tanner name one that Stefan got wrong.
"1943." Stefan said no hesitance in his voice.
"Aha! Wrong! 1942!" Mr. Tanner said victory all over his face.
Stefan looked confused, "Um, Mr. Tanner 1943." Stefan said reasuring him.
"Look it up!" Mr. Tanner said looking like he was ready to tackle Stefan.
A kid held up his phone and said, "1943!" The bell rang just then and Stefan didn't look phased at all, not even suprised or happy.
"So where did you learn all that?" I asked him smiling.
"Crossword puzzles its a loner thing." he said laughing. I laughed too.
"Theres a bonfire tonight you should come."
"I'll be there." He said he already heard. The bell rang for my next class and the rest of the day was slow.
I was too excited for tonight.
