Chapter 18 : Victory ?

I cried from the pain and closed my eyes waiting for the wolf to eat and cut my flesh only to hear a loud grunt of a familiar person ,
" Get your filthy mouth off from her you mutt !! "
Enat !!
My breathing calmed as I watch her climbing on the wolf and strangling it with her legs gritting her teeth , without wasting a chance I took the rock that layed near me and smashed it's  brain , I sighed tiredly . 
I looked around and saw only five girls remaining among all of us .The fear is real , the exhaustion was visible and our dresses were torn and full of blood .
The blood of the ones who had died on our hands and ourselves.
And only three wolves remained including the bigger one ,
Enat stood up and helped me , her whole face and body was painted with crimson red  .
I can't do this anymore.She wanted to cry but I shooshed her , we don't have time for this  .
We manage to take them down , I am pretty sure we are going to win this . I encourage her and she nod her head ,
I looked around and saw the wolves eating flesh , " I wonder what species are they ."
Wolves don't eat each other , they looked wild and thin and they weren't well fed .
Those are prisoners .. Enat whispered as she pointed out their ribs showing how hungry they are, and they are used in hunting for their foods . They are not given anything to eat unless they organize to feed them like this .
She whispers .
As she talked , the other girls ran to us tired  , " Lila was one of them ?"
I didn't know ,
Lila ?? I whisper and hug her when she saw me. We both break down crying,
Mei ... Mei ... You are still here , they took my mom and dad and my younger brothers . They took them,
It's not the time to cry, I whisper to her as I looked at her ripped bloodied dress , " I looked at the far end where the cages were sitting and told everyone to run there "
I told Enat and another girl to follow me , My eyes turned sharp as I saw the chains that were opened. 
We can't close them even if we lure them here .  I mumbled ,
But we can put them in the cages right, ? Enat asked ,
Nodding  I instructed Lila and the other girl Esme to dragg one of the cages in there . It was heavy but we didn't have any choice .
And Enat and I dargged the other , as the screeching sound neared the wolves ear , they left the corpses and took a run on us .
We were fresh , they haven't have a bite on us  , why should they bother eating what's going to be rotten after few days .
I feel so tired , I feel so sad for every one who has layed on the field and lost what they once had a pure life that was stolen from them in a blink .
My mind went to the far end of the field looking at Saadia's wolf that layed unsound. I refused to cry ,
As the wolf ran to us , I took a stand on the chains and told Enat to lure them where I was ,
Lila looked scared, togther with the other girl .
Now now people this is a final round , Three wolves with number 7 , number 18 , number 17 , number 1 and  number 15 are the remaining ones .
Let's see who  the winner will be , Will it be the rogues ? Or the wilds ...
Every one cheered , I just can't understand what pleasure do they get by doing all this .By seeing everyone of us being  sucked our life out to death .
A second later, Enat was screaming at me ..
Watch out Mei and coincidently I jumped from the opened cage and not soon the wolf got trapped inside and  the other girl closed the cage from outside  with a bang and sighed loudly after the lock clicked .
Now two of them only have remained , " I looked at Lila and Esme  who could not stop crying, Enat who is terrified but masked it just like the other girl .
I just knew I had to do everything to save the remaining ones , " As the big wolf ran to us .. " i watched  the other one sneakily preying on us as it ran slowly ..
It knew what it wanted , it wanted to set the big wolf up so that he could take a bite on one of us .
As the big  wolf  approach us , We dragged the other cage and closed it the moment it was about to run it's paws on Enat ,
It banged it's head on the cage and breaking a part of its face in the process and dropped on the ground with a thud howling in pain, I knew he wasn't breathing becuase his nose was bleeding profously and his eyes were rolling back as he grunted in pain and help .
I wouldn't even help that thing, Ever !! He killed my sister's and asking for pity now ?? No way,
I got distracted and no sooner the wolf attacked me on my neck, " i went stiff as it started to cut my flesh . "
Hang in there .. i heard Enat saying to me . I felt my blood started to come out from my neck and my breathing laboured ,
Help .. I whisper breathles .
Help ..
I hear Enat's voice , and a loud grunt from her , I felt the wolf not moving anymore but I .. I couldn't move even a slick of my hand .
My hair stood up as if it was winter , My legs were fighting for stability and balance . My mouth hang open ,
Hang in there  Mei !!! Enat yelled and I hear a torn of a dress following . As she kissed my forehead , she pressed the cloth on my neck squeezing it not  letting the blood flow out .
I touched her hand , telling her and signing her to give me hope .
I wanted to live ,  so bad !! Becuase my accomplishments have not yet been done .
Help me Enat !!I whispered and she nod her head , you will be fine ,
She says to me with tears and smiles through out .
" And we present the winners ... " Number  1 , 18,17, 15,
The person announced to the crowd making them cheer .
Not sure if number 7 is alive by now , The crowd laughed making me shed bitter tears .

You will be fine ,I swear you will . The victory is ours ,Enat says. The last thing that I heard  was a loud sound of the gates that were opened up .

" I am not sure if we will be breathing after this . "
