Chapter 21 : The stables

I am tired and I felt like my neck was killing the hell out of me as I walked with the tools that were on my arms as we were told to  leave the court room .
"You alright ?" Enat asks as she hold onto me. 
Umm I am okay, I muttured back with a sly smile. 
We walked together and put our equipments and went directly to the kitchen .
As I averted my gaze here and there , I thought I saw someone familiar .
I frown a little and walked but a hand snapped me out of my thoughts .
Let's go ! Enat scolds me , I opened my mouth to say something but shut it and let her take me with her .
Enat ,  My neck hurts .. I mumbled as I felt tired walking here and there , taking plates, designed jugs and plates that were in the kitchen store preparing for  the evening tea .
She looked around  and told me to hide somewhere so that no one  could see me so that I can rest for  a little while  .
Rest over there , she pointed on a very slim hide out where brooms were stored .
I nod my head and entered sideways and settled uncomfortably and bent my head in the process , I tried sitting but there was no enough space .
I was thankful that I even had a moment to breathe .
My mind and thoughts went back to where I was earlier. 
We were scrubbing and cleaning when the courts officials entered inside .
We left all of our equipments and bowed in the proces as they passed by us .
They roamed around and discussed some stuff as we were told to wait for them to finish their talkings , I was in distress just like the others . We were bending our heads and stood firmly like sticks .
Why are they doing this ? They could have waited for us to finish , but they are walking around as if !! A maid scoffed with a whisper .
I am tired , I just want to finish all thes works and later I can get the little food that I deserve to get.  Another girl cried out with a whisper .
The room went silent , we couldn't even understand what was happening . As if in que , three guard men  came and stood a little away from us and announced ,
" No food for any of you !!" You are going to serve the court room tonight and the message has already been sent to the head maid.
Yes sir ! We all Whisper in unison calming our racing hearts. 
Get them out of this sight before we make them our meals tonight ! One of the  court officials barked out loud scaring the hell out of us. They are even lucky that we all left them alive , One of the man spat . 
We scurried away with our equipments and led ourselves out  to the kitchen .
What a day ?! I muttured , but I was interrupted when a hand hold my wrist and pulled me off from the hiding area  by force .
You little mutt !! I heard a voice of the head madam .
She then slapped me and I dropped on the ground wincing in pain from the slap and the neck region .
I looked at her hatefully and breathe in and out calming myself .
What the hell do you think you were doing  there huh ? Are you here to play hide and seek with me you bitch !? She barked on my face catching attention of everyone around us .
I bit my lip and looked down on the floor like it was the most  Interesting thing  in the whole world .
Why aren't you saying shit ?!! You like making trouble and then keep your pot shut .
Slaves are always slaves !! You and these people here in this kitchen have got no difference !!
Now stand up before I make you  sleep on the dungeons !! She yelled frustrated which made me bit my lip harder drawing blood from it .
"I .. i am sorry, " I cracked out with a sudden fall of a tear on my face .
Yes .. just like the others !! Do you think like I care ?? If you don't value the slightest curve of your Life then you btter tell me sooner so that i can make you vanish immediately and not causing trouble .
Yes madam !! I choked out bending my head .
She stayed silent , as the kitchen
staff continued with their works as if being told to carry on with their works  .
I followed the madam  , I could not even raise my neck to find Enat anywhere . I just wanted to see her and feel content that she is safe now .
Hurry the fuck up damn it !! She instructed and pushed me which I obliged .
We made it to a very quiet place , I looked up and saw a very wide black doors , and Infront it was crafted the name Horsestables.
What the hell is that ? My mind asked but I couldn't pint point what the word meant,
The door was opened , and I was pushed inside .
Learn bitch and get to work !! I heard a voice yelling from inside.
I spat out grasses  , wiping off the dirt and stood up from where I was wondering around , looking everywhere .
Stop staring and get to work !! A man's voice  barked out , I looked at him then my eyes landed on his hand where he had a whip on his hand.
Nodding my head fearfully , I started getting started by taking the bucket that was on the ground , together with a brush that layed on the floor and collected the brooms that were on the ground .
I was the only soul there together with four  guards who were guarding,
The place stinked which made me rub my nose and started walking, My heart skipped a bit when I heard a horse's sound ?
No way !! I muttured and  took two steps back .
Did I hear that right ? I looked at one of the guards who was only looking at me  with a smirk , I carried on with whatever that I was assigned to do .
I had no idea what I had to do , but I swallowed all the will and energy inside my body and went on the first stall .
The  white horse was laying on the grass , it looked so beautiful that I could not tore off my gaze from it.
A  warm smile clouded my face , I touched his  soft hair that layed still .
Such a good baby .. I muttured and kissed him on the top . I noticed it didn't move .
I started working, changing the grasses and put them on a wooden wheel barrow that got my attention a minute ago .
We had never had anything like this back in our village , but looking at how dirty it is I knew that's the thing that i am supposed to put all the dirts on .
After I was satisfied , I stepped outside just after brushing it's hair which made it to make a  wiggling sound .
I was a little scared and stormed off from the little space and walked to another stalls .
I have a very long day .. I muttured as I had finished the third horse stable . Pain and hunger was long gone as I focused on cleaning .
It was better cleaning for these animals  than being around some people who aren't worth the time that I have for them .
It is worth every second of my miserable life . So different from humans as they welcome you with silence and not any form of cruelty .

Make sure that you clean and scrub everything neatly, Becuase when the king comes and takes a look at  this place and if he gets dissatisfied with all these ..
Trust me , you will be longing for death just like the others who passed through these close doors .

With that , he ended up groping what it looked like my butt leaving me in shock , disbelif and disgust with a heavy broken heart .
