EARLIER THAT DAY

Corey had left to pick some clothes up for the hospital, when she arrived home, her mother was there. "Hi, Ma." Corey mutters as her mom sips coffee. "Hey, sweetie, how's Tara?"

"She's fine, she wanted me to come by, so..." Kennedy nods, leaning back on the counter. "Just be safe, okay?" Corey nods. "I get it, you've done this before, I'll be fine." The blonde sighs, placing her book bag on her back.

Kennedy sighs, pulling a bottle of rum from her cabinet as Corey leaves, pouring it in her coffee when she's sure her daughter is gone. She sighs, moving to sit on her couch, turning on the TV.

It's several minutes before her phone begins to ring. She quickly answers, assuming it's a call from her work. "Hello?" She slurs.

"Hello, Kennedy." The familiar voice makes her sober up, her eyes squinting as she sits up. "Who is this?"

"You know me, Kennedy..."

"I said WHO IS THIS?!"

"I carved up your niece, Olivia, your little boyfriend, Randy! Now? I'm gonna carve up your daughter!"

"FUCK YOU!"

"No, no, you already did...right?"

"Stu is fucking dead, Sidney and I made sure of that!"

"Ah, that may be, but I always come back one way or another."

"Screw you!"

"No! You never told Corey about your little mistake. Surprisingly? You're not the only one who made it. You know Sam...Tara's sister? She's Billy's daughter. She was friends with...Jamie, right? Your other 'niece'."

"What did you do?"

"Nothing, I'm not that cool. Jamie is halfway across the country, be glad."

"What do you want from me?"

"Not much, it's a honor to speak to the Kennedy Morris. The one who killed Stu Macher."

Kennedy's jaw clenches. "If your gonna kill me, just fucking do it." Her eyes widen as she feels a presence behind her. "With pleasure."

Kennedy jumps up as Ghostface slams the knife into the couch. The figure sweeps over the couch, kicking Kennedy back first into the small glass table, making her groan in pain.

Ghostface straddles her, jamming the knife into her chest. She groans in pain, her eyes drifting under the TV stand where her pistol is taped. Before she can even attempt to grab it, she's stabbed 5 more times in the chest.

Ghostaface tilts their head, their eyes set on the running TV. Kennedy instantly follows their gaze, the news of Tara's attack playing. "Wait! Wait, wait! Please!"

Ghostface methodically stands, slowly moving towards it. "Are you having deja vu?" They maniacally chuckle, tossing the TV onto Kennedy's face, the weight instantly crushing her skull.

———

Tara had woken up and began to silently watch Corey. When she'd woken up in the middle of the night, she wasn't there, so in the morning she felt much safer with her there. Corey was uncomfortably sleeping in a chair.

She had been attempting to wake her up without tiring out her voice since it was still sore from the screaming she'd done a few days prior. "Corey!" Her throat was scratchy, so it sounded like more of a whisper.

She looked over to the small tray she'd gotten for food, or at least the only ones she could attempt to digest. There was a small empty cup, and she picked it up with her good hand, tossing it at the blonde. Unfortunately, it does nothing. She sighs, sitting back.
