Chapter 3 - Hidden Regret

As night came, The carrier lights lit the decks shining through the harbor, The day was done for the tank teams as they finished all their work and some we're headed to their quarters and others went to the mess hall to eat dinner. The resupply was already finished and the carrier is almost off for departure. During this time Kenji and the others were sitting in the mess hall eating and chatting amongst themselves, Aoi was enthusiastic about telling the others of what happened earlier.

Aoi: Ni-san can I tell them already?

Soma: Sure.

Jun: Tell us about what exactly?

Koichi: About the most epic tankery match we have ever witnessed.

Fuji: Oh is it now? Well go on with it.

Kenji: Go ahead Aoi.

Aoi smiles as he told the two about the tournament earlier this morning, the conversation could be heard among the rest of tank teams and were joining on the conversation as they listen in to Aoi. The tank teams were at awe as they listen to Aoi portraying the events of the match.

Fuji: A-A-A Karl Gerät!?!?!?

Tsuji: Karl?

Soma: I know right, it was so cool to see it in person

Shu: is that thing even legal?

Soma: I mean they have that thing it in the tournament so I guess it's technically legal right?

Fuji: Oh how I've dreamed about working on a siege mortar. My father owned a lot of high caliber cannons when I was still young. He even let me fire some of them. But I was only interested in fixing them.

Koichi: Your the only person I know who only wanted to fix weapons of mass destruction instead of firing them.

Fuji: Hey at least I fired some of them okay.

Koichi: Pssshh.

After that rather confusing but wholesome conversation of the two, Aoi continues telling the events of the tournament, especially during the amusement park battle.

Kyouya: quite fascinating I would say, that Miho Nishizumi is a skilled commander, her motives were quite cunning and swift, unpredictable even

Kyouya Ishi, a commander of one of the Comet MK I, Kyouya was known for as one of the best commanders of the Frontier just below Kenji and Shu and overall the best cook in the carrier. During the time when he first joined the Frontier he was just nonchalantly walking up on the carrier and as soon people started noticing him he only said "Can I join your group" he said in a carefree manner, people were perplexed by his statement but when word got out to Kenji he agreed to it, people were shocked by Kenji's remark and of course Kyouya was overjoyed, but Kenji saw something in him, deep down he was felt rejection, loneliness and sorrow, the people he loved disowned him and left him to die, Kenji saw his determination to live even though his life was in shambles.

Koichi: Yeah, almost as unpredictable as Mino-

Soma: Koichi!

Realizing his mistake, the mess hall has fallen into silence, sad looks was seen amongst the tank teams especially the young ones who were almost about to cry. Kenji was looking down at his platter remembering the time where Minori was still around,

Shu: C'mon guys don't be upset, she's in a better place now alright.

Shu trying to lighten up the mood got everyone to at least smile a little even, except for Kenji who still looking down at his platter, but when he looked up he was looking around the mess hall and noticed something off.
