Next day. Breakfast. The group decides they want to go into town. They leave at 11. An hour or so left. Adam's ready but Kevin's still sorting out his stuff, so he decides to go down to the beach, see if he can pass the time somehow.

After leaving the hotel, he notices Mia sunbathing. Alone. Let's do this.

Adam: Hey, Mia.

Mia opens her eyes, looks at him. She seems glad.

Mia: Hey.

Adam sits down on the sand next to her.

Adam: Are you coming to town?

Mia: Yep.

Adam: You should probably get ready soon.

Mia (light laugh): You don't like my bikini?

Adam: You look really nice. I just assumed you'd want to change.

Mia: Maybe you assumed wrong.

Seriously. Is this supposed to be a sign? Whatever. Adam doesn't think about it too much.

Adam: Have you seen Peter around?

Mia: Actually, no. It must be really hard for him right now. You should go talk to him, see if he's alright.

Adam: I've already had a chat with him the other day. Seems like he really changed. And I don't think for the better.

Mia: So maybe you should go talk to him? Again?

Adam: No, the last time didn't go particularly well either. Why don't you?

Mia: We're not friends.

Adam: Really? I thought you were friends with most people.

Mia (somewhat surprised, smiling): Then you don't really know me. Why did you think that?

Adam: I see you talking with people all the time.

Mia: Like who?

Adam: I dunno, you often hang out with Tom for example.

Mia: We're not really *good* friends.

Adam: Hmm. Then who would you say you are go-

Kevin suddenly appears outside. He's shouting.

Kevin: Adam! Come help me, we gotta get going soon and I can't find some stuff.

Adam looks at Mia. She looks back at him understandingly. She lies back down on the sand. Adam goes and helps Kevin.

After getting ready, everyone groups up by the tram. Adam's with Kevin. He's trying to look for Mia. He eventually sees her. She's with her friends. Tom's in the same circle of friends. Adam feels weird. Maybe they are just superficial friends. But if they are not even *good* friends, how is he supposed to interest Mia romantically.

The tram soon arrives. Most of the group concentrates in the back, the locals and other tourists are closer to the front. Adam and Kevin sit with the other guys. They discreetly take out some weed out of their bags. No one sees them here at the back, they won't get caught.

Adam's not prude, but he's not really in the mood. Doesn't really care. However, Kevin accepts.

Adam (to Kevin, quietly): Bro, yesterday morning you were still fucked up from all the drinking. You sure about this?
