Part 2 of prologue:Kind sacrifices

I dont know how long I had been knocked out, even if I was knocked out, which I was certain I was.But the next thing I saw was dozens of wires and ceiling cutouts protruding the celing,on the floor,Basically everywhere.The next thing I saw was a blur coming toward me as I gotten brief blackouts.
"Hey! You ok?" I reconized that voice as fred, my friend from my league next door."Uggh"I groaned"Get..,..out ......of ....heee...re.".He nodded once and carried my over his shoulder doing his best to protect me.
I didn't really see much of anything. I heard explosions, deafening screams, debris hitting concrete, and other kinds of scary stuff."Fred..."I weakly responded."Whats happening?"."Armanda. "He said as he was struggling to get to the front door.Until I did see one thing.A giant piece of debris smash down and block the front door."$***"Fred whispered. "As I was saying, Armanda was an old meteor from the prehistorics, Scientists believe this was what killed all the dinosaurs. It shattered, but now its...reassembling.""Its turned into an Armageddon device sending natural disasters to destroy earth.".
"But why did it reassemble?"I asked, cringing. He hesitated as he didn't know why.We kept on maneuvering throughout the carnage until we ended up into a giant hallway that appeared as it was neverending.Fred was quick, that was sure enough, but the destruction was WAY quicker.He did his best and saved my life a few times.
"Oh no...Dead end."He muttered. He stopped and set me down next to a vent.The destruction seemed to slow by 4X but a fire blazed 25 ft away and we were surrounded.The only exits were being engulfed into flames making it impossible to go through.
Fred scanned our area to find an exit and cried out in disappointment several times until he spotted the vent beside me."Andrew, can you enter the vent next to you?"he asked as he tore off the cover."Ok."I cheered.It was a tight squeeze but I managed to fit.
"Now go."Fred cooed."Wait you're not coming?"I said shockingly.He pursed his lips before nodding no.I asked him why because fred was my friend and I didn't want him to die.
He took a deep breath before he hit me hard with why."Ive been loyal to you and to this company.If you're loyal to something, protect or save it.I can't save this company, but I can save you.So I'll sacrifice myself to protect you."He explained.It hit me pretty hard, almost too hard.I shed 2 or three tears because of it.He smiled, and it was enough to make me accept the truth. He's going to sacrifice himself. I grabbed the cover and sealed it shut, before exchanging smiles.A few blazes of fire seeped through the vent cover sending me backwards.I shed a few more tears before continuing on, without fred."Have fun in heaven, pal."I shifted through before actually crying for a few minutes then continuing.
I placed my hands along the vent until I saw a light and many voices from the other side.I kicked the cover with a loud BANG! A bunch of heads looked at me, burnt, bleeding and damged from ARMANDA, like me.A girl about 24 strolled to me and held out her hand.Welcome to the ARMANDA BUNKER. Im Autumn summers, let me show you around! She pulled me up and then made me one of them from now on.
