The Inactive World.

Chapter 1:Aftermath

As they took me in, I had several thoughts. This is what's left of TSFCEC.Only a few of us trapped in here, this small basement. These people, brusied and damaged from the Armanda. Why did he sacrifice himself.
Those thoughts made me feel insane but in reality I was just this person who was damaged externally and internally. The pain from the internal would never leave, this a loss that would like peanut butter.
I was confused sticking around with them but who am I kidding? Eventually I felt like I was starting to get everything in hang of and apart of the family of scientists. This was my haven, a wonder of intelligence.
For about 2 years we worked down there, and it was better than anything. We did old patterns from TSFCEC, introducing the inventions and applauding and smiling for the first time ever.We did leagues like before in our old lives.
"Alright! Who will do builders league?"Autumn proclaimed.
I raised my hand in glee."Andrew! You can do builders!"She announced. I smiled.I would get my old job back like everything was normal! The earth would rumble occasionally but we didn't mind.
One time, A fellow worker was making a machine until a rumble came and shut the entire power out.It was disaster at first but fortunately there was a generator.
We had parties everytime someone had a birthday.Now you might think thats "unresponsible" but it was a good laugh.

That was until that one day until the security switched on.

We were typing away to some kinds of research when a deafening siren poured in our ears.BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Everyone instantly rose from thier beds and searched for the source of the siren so they could shut it off.No one did.
Autumn arrived soon later."What the h!!!! is going on here, I'm pratically sleeping!"She spoke at a silent whisper.Suddenly a guy who looked about my age(short curly hair, glasses, in a suit thats beige.), went up to her."Ms summers uh, there seems to be a difficulty is what we are thinking.There's seemingly a camera in the outside world is still active."He rushed.That seemed to awake her.She sprung up and grabbed the nearest water bottle rubbing her eyes, as she grabbed it."Where?"She almost yelled.The man made the follow me motion and everybody scurried after him.
We finally ended up at a wall, which waa pointless if you ask me.Autumn stared in utter shock and disappointment.Her emotions turned in anger and she began to yell at the man before the wall blasted open.
"Whoa!"Everyone cried.
Steam released from the door and exited the room.We all glanced in the room and the footage nearly made us gasp in shock.There was no destruction left.It was completely silent.TSFCEC was in shatters.Windows were gone.Pieces of concrete lay on the ground and small fires bursted.The camera was glitching and staticy.
Autumn slowly walked forward and rested her hands on the tabletop in front the camera.She stared at the camera for a long time never leaving eye contact."I wonder what the world looks like now."she quitetly said.A drop of liquid fell in front of her.
She regained her focus and began to type more, I think she was looking for her answer. Another screen popped up next to the camera and everyone was surprised to see what happened. On the screen, a jagged shape was spinning in an extreme slo mo pattern. Armanda completely obliterated earth I thought. I know Armanda was strong but, I never expected this to happen.
Autumn finally faced us in suprise."You know what this means right?"She said in a fearful voice.Everyone knew, but didn't know what to say.Then the same guy went up, the attention grasper that he is."Armanda is more powerful than we thought."He murmured. "But fortunately its deactivated. But now, there isn't a future."

After the ordeal I told everybody about the vent and they all agreed that was the only one way to escape.Soon after I ripped off the cover and directed every outside. 1 by 1 we were going to see the world again, For the first time in a while.The first time outside. Its been 2 years, now is the time that we use that 2 years to use.
Our 1st encounter was kind of messy but hey, no major disasters. The air felt crisp and smelt like fire burning and smoke. It was daytime but dust was slowly rolling in, painting our faces dirty and staining our clothes. Buildings were wrecked and completely obliterated. There were some things that were unexpected that no one noticed.There was some Graffiti in the area.The words said stuff like The world is coming to end or Run and THERE IS NO HOPE AT ALL.There wasn't life in sight any no one knew what to do.
Everyone stayed in the area and scavenged the area.The board that said quotes from professors and ideas by scientists here lays broken and split in half on the floor.The monorail tracks were broken and sprialed all over the floor.The monorail stayed a few feet away split into several parts and crushed.This world felt unactive and not working at all.
Fire was still active and I had no idea why.I was pretty sure no one knew either but no one dared to ask."Is this our world now?"I asked to Autumn. She looked at me and nodded slightly. We scavenged until I saw a tiny light come from behind a pile of boulders.
"Hey, I think I might've found something"I hollered to the team.
They looked toward my direction and walked forward eyeing the light the I spotted."There's definitely something in there."I said.I was sure they were aware too.
"How are going to break through boulders"Somebody asked from the middle. That was a good point, how will get to it from here? It is indeed trapped by boulders.I began to give up until a tough voice came from the front."I found nearby TNT and a lighter!"It screamed.
All of a sudden, A muscle man pushed his way to the front of the crowd and set down 2 sticks of dynamite."Stand back!"He commanded and we all ran far away.Sparks came from the fuse and then he scurried with us.BOOM! A firey explosion blasted the rocks in several directions. I flinched when I heard the explosion. "Thanks! Whats your name?"I asked."Richard. Richard Leziwore."He replied.
The light all of a sudden caught my attention. When I saw the light I ran toward it and found something that made my heart jump.I felt sick to my stomach all of sudden.My old invention, X-op lay broken with several appendages ripped and torn.It cast a dim light toward a wall that foreshadowed a message.

CREATE THE FUTURE.

Then it hit me.I knew what I had to do in order to regain the future. "Guys, I know how to restore the future. Im going to rebuild X-op."
