Having another person in the house felt weird. I had to make two hot pockets instead of one and I made twice as much of everything and having him around was starting to get expensive.

"Hey... Buddy." I smiled awkwardly as I sat next to him. "We need to talk."

He looked at me and nodded taking his eyes of the duck-tective rerun.

"I can't afford for you to live here anymore." I said quickly. "And I know youve been through a lot but you need to at least pay rent if not move out." I took a deep breath. "And I called Bud Gleeful and he said he'd give you a job at the car dealership because he liked your name."

Billy took a deep breath. "Ooooookay." He stood. "Sorry." And then he walked away.

I placed my head on my knees before dialling my grandma.

"Y/n!" I heard a bit of a rukus from the other line. "You called at the worst time!" She laughed.

  I hummed. "Whats going on?"

"We're setting up for the reunion!" She giggled. "The Stans are making a mess of things."

     "We aren't making a mess!"

I laughed. "Crazy old men. When is the reunion?"
"You'd know if you showed up to work every once and a while." I heard Stan mumble on the other line.
"I called in once! One time old man!"

Stan grumbled before asking. "Hey kid can you meet my family at the bus stop tomorrow?"

I hesitated. "Uh sure why not."
"Wonderful! You knew the kids right?"

I hummed my response before saying my goodbyes.

"Hey Billy!" I shouted he walked into the living room. "Wanna run an errand with me tomorrow?"

He smiled. "Of course."

I enjoyed Billy's company even if he was a little slow and we were slowly but surely getting closer by the day.
