Connor began to turn the doorknob to the front door, time had froze in an instant for him. He couldn't feel his limbs, mindlessly walking into the house of horrors that awaited him. His vision began to blur a bit, fading in and out of reality.
Greg followed close behind Connor as they made their way through the door and into the house. He closed the door behind him and took his shoes off at the door, as to not track dirt or any debris from the outside in. He noticed Connor continuing to walk further into the living room, he hadn't taken his shoes off like he normally does. 'That's strange.' Greg thought to himself. The blonde boy inched his way closer to Connor and poked his arm to get his attention.
'There's no one here? But the lights are on. Maybe they left! Maybe their in their room!! Where are they?!' Connors thoughts raced, the voices briefly interrupted by a different feeling. He looked over to see greg confused. "Huh?. Where is my mom? I thought she would be in the living room, watching tv or something." Connor choked out, "I don't know why I'm so nervous, I've got you here with me. But the house is quiet. It's strange like no ones here but the lights are on, and I know my mom would be home, she would never leave the hou-" Connors words where stopped by Greg holding his hand. The feeling of being frozen faded.
"Hey, just breath with me. In for 4. . . Out for 7. . . In for 4. . . Out for 7. . . Good again, just stay with me. You feeling ok? I know its probably a little overwhelming, but at least we are in the house and there's nothing bad happening is there?" Greg stated. Helping Connor through his breathing, calming him down greatly. He looked into his eyes.
"N-no. Maybe not yet!" Connor said anxiously. Looking bad into the other boys eyes. He obviously not wanted to go through with this. He just wanted to go to Greg's house and stay there for the night instead of doing this. Anything but this.
Greg laughed a little and Connors paranoia. "Sorry I don't mean to laugh but you look so cute right now. You know I'm here for you right? If it makes you feel better I can take the lead and you can follow behind me." Greg usually not the leader type, stepped up for Connor. This made Connor feel a little better.
"Thanks Greg. Yeah that would help me a lot." He looked back and smiled slyly with his lovesick eyes. "My mom is not in the living room tho. I think she might be in her room." As Connor finished his statement he turned to what sounded like a door opening from up the stairs.
Emerging from the bathroom was Connors mom. Turning off the light and rounding the corner to head back down the stairs. She caught a glimpse of the two figures in the living room before her. "Hi Connor, how'd it go today? Did you have fun? Hi Greg good to see you again. How have you been?" Connors mom said with a smile walking up to her son to give him a hug.
Connor was confused, a little at ease to see his mom not mad at him, but very confused. "Uh. I-It went great. We just ended up watching a movie after Amaya left and hung out and got food afterwards." Connor said barely making eye contact with his mom, as he fiddled with his thumbs.
Greg responded after Connor. "Hello Mrs. McKenzie I've been ok. Good to see you again too." Greg said whole heartedly with a smile.
After a moment of silence Connor spoke up. "Mom... about earlier."

Henllo long time no see. I was feeling extra bored and I know I haven't updated in a while as is a trend I'm going to continue with this story. But I hope you liked this I promise it won't be the end but I can't promise I'll have the next chapter out anytime soon I have a lot going on and going to the gym kinda gets my fired up to get actual shit done so just bare with me and enjoy what there is now. I know it's not a super long chapter but I needed to look back at the previous chapters to keep it consistent and see where I wanted to take this moving forward. So I decided to keep it short and simple. Thanks for your love tho kinda to the point where I'm outgrowing this whole thing but I know what I feels like to be disappointed by an unfinished story so imma give it what I got.
