{ Brief warning—crude language }

["B-but! Your highness! I'm just a mere commoner!" Tears glistened in her jewel eyes, full of conflicting emotions as the prince held her hand tightly, "Regardless, I still love you! Please, please accept my love! "] I couldn't help but cringe at the cliché plot of this popular romance novel. I had questioned many times where its likability was for it to be so famous. Its name was ["A rose stained in red."] It was certainly eye-catching, but it was disappointingly filled with clichés and, per every chapter, a secondhand embarrassment scene.

I closed the book and placed it with care on the desk, despite its repulsive contents. All books should be handled gently; I still remember what my teacher taught me, even if she thought of me as nothing but pollution. I had always been treated that way, like garbage. Of course, my young self never understood. However, as I've aged naturally, I've adapted to their judging gazes. I want to say it no longer bothers me, although that would be a lie as it still does.

It seemed like an eternity since I had a normal conversation with someone who did not stare at me with disgust, and to whoever didn't, I would have cherished them with my whole being because they were just that rare.

"Sigh..." I really shouldn't think about such depressing memories so early in the morning. While making myself a simple cup of tea, I couldn't help but yawn. Plus, while the water was boiling, I quickly made use of the time and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, my hair, and finished by washing my face before I went out. Patiently,

I watched the tea turn from a translucent pale yellow to a luminous dark brown. Perfect! Putting two sugar cubes and a splash of milk together to make a light caramel brown color and storing the used tea bag in a container for later use. It's still usable. I took my time enjoying my refreshing tea before heading to my job, which was as a convenience store janitor.

-Bump!

While accidentally bumping into a small rushing figure on my way out. My stomach suddenly ached in pain as I was walking to my work place. I clutched my clothing tightly and coughed out loudly.

-Splat!

Crimson Blood adored the busy streets and nobody took notice. My legs were trembling, and eventually, they gave up. I fell to my knees. Blood was leaking from my parted lips and my abdomen. I held the knife that pierced my skin. The one who owned such a knife had already run off somewhere. Damn.

-Plop, plop.

When the blood dropped onto the street, a sound occurred. My heart beat rang thunderously, as if it was an alarm counting each second, but it was only myself who had heard it. Once I had completely collapsed on the street, the sounds of footsteps finally reappeared.

-Step, step, step.

No one had stopped for me and I had already died.

'Well, fuck this shit,'

Was my last passing thought.

Elsewhere—–

An imposing aura came from the figures surrounding a round altar garnished with files.

"Because of your creations, this world continues to end in ruin!"

The papers flew as a fist slammed against the table. The figure across from the other sneered, "They are my children, not simple creations." with clear annoyance in their low tone.

With realisation of the current predicament, the silhouette of a figure with an obvious higher standing than the rest stated their opinion on the matter, "Well then, I suppose we'll send a soul with the knowledge of the upcoming destruction." They could never refuse such an authoritative being, causing the others to smile nervously.
