TO WATTPAD I HAD WRITTEN SOME OF THIS ON GOOGLE DOCS, I DID NOT ANY FORM OF COPY WRITE. THIS IS MY ORGINAL WORK!

Authors Note: I didn't add parts because adds are annoying! I have labeled each time the POV changes so you can find where you left off easier. Sorry if there's mistakes I didnt read it over throughly I will update it when edited, but anyways it's a long story so settle in! (Takes place after Retrun of the Dragon Slayers Dragonwatch)
"Seth!" Grandpa yelled desperately from downstairs. Seth shot up from the bed, he ran to the door grabbing Vasilis and his bow on the way and clambered down the stairs.
Grandpa was standing in the kitchen, holding a letter.

"There's been a problem, with Kendras mission. Me and Ruth have to go, you will be caretaker until we return. If we don't come in a week, I have called a group of men to come and assist you." Grandpa said hurriedly.

"What?! The last time I was caretaker I destroyed it!" Seth said backing up. "No, I'll go, Grandpa let me go. I've been alone on missions before let me go."

"Seth, no. Me and Ruth have to specifically go." Grandpa said grabbing a bag he had packed from the floor.

"Grandpa...no," Seth begged. Last time he was caretaker it only lasted a week! He was not being a caretaker ever again.

"Seth, you will be fine. Remember one week and that group will come." Grandpa said.

"How do you know we can trust them?" Seth said sternly.

Grandma walked in, holding a large blue duffel bag.

"Seth you will be fine, I'm sure we won't be gone a week." Grandma said.

"Yeah, well sometimes things don't go as planned." Seth said pointing at his stomach at the scar Unforgiving blade had made.

"Seth, listen to me right now. You will be fine, milk Viola, make sure the prisoners are fed, and that everything is running accordingly." Grandpa said.

Seth looked through the window towards the huge barn. Seth's mind raced, how could he run Fablehaven alone?

"Has either of you ran Fablehaven alone?" Seth said sourly.

"No, but Seth you are the bravest person we know. You have ended two wars almost completely alone. You can run a preserve for a week." Grandma said calmy.

Seth huffed. "Dont be shocked when I tell you I told you so." Seth said throwing his hands in the air.

"You'll be okay Seth, it's just everyone went on that mission. I'm sorry, you will be okay." Grandma said kindly.

"This could be a trap." Seth complained.

"Bye Seth, we will see you soon." Grandpa said.
Grandma hugged him and they left, Grandpa didn't both to even give him a glance. Seth's heart sunk as the door shut behind them.

Seth's jaw hung open, why was Grandpa so mad at him? What had he done? Ever since the dragon War he had been so stern to him. He's probably still mad from Wyrmroost falling.
Seth went and sat on the couch and listened to their truck drive off.

He was alone, no human contact. How was he going to keep himself sane? He missed Calvin, he had been helping out with fixing  Well Viola needed to be milked and a storm was in the forecast. Seth quickly grabbed his walrus butter and ate some of the creamy substance and ran out the door.

Seth sat down on the grass and laid back down, there was clouds in the sky. He heard distant thunder as the sky grew darker. He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself, he was still struggling with guilt. He couldn't take another sanctuary falling because of him.
