all valley tournament

this was it; the all valley tournament today , and amara was terrified. but not as terrified as Eli. he still wasn't sure about re joining karate, but at least he had amara. they were both in the car, heading to the dojo to meet with everyone else .

"amara! Hawk! you're here! we are already kind of late so let's go, come on!" daniel greeted them at the door, and they were ushered back into their car. they were messaged the location of the all valley, and everyone was getting ready to drive.

they finally made it there, where some people were getting their seats, she scanned the crowds, and saw anthony sitting on the seat next to his mum. when he saw amara, he got up and walked over to her. he made sure no one was looking, then kissed her on the cheek quickly
"good luck, i know you're going to do great! wipe the floor with them, okay?" he hugged her again and went back to his seat. amara went to the locker room to change into her gi.

"amara! wait!" she recognised the voice. so she kept walking. someone grabbed her hand
"listen to me! i had no choice! i had to do that to Eli. i cannot afford to lose cobra kai. please amara talk to me" amara turned around and slapped Tory round the face
"there are millions of other things you could've done. why this?" tory was silent
"exactly. so stop trying to be friends with me again. it is never going to happen" she snatched her hand out of tory's grasp, and tory had then realised how she had lost one of her only real friends, forever.

(fast forward to the actual fights)

Bruce Malmuth had introduced all the teams, and now it was time for the skills section. Amara was second, after demetri, so at least she could calm her nerves. there was a huge round of applause when demetri had done amazing on all his skills. now it was her turn. amaras chosen skill was breaking boards.

now the last one. she hit it, and her stomach dropped. she missed it .

she looked up to see that she broke the last board. she was beaming as she left the mat. this was a good sign. now , she was waiting for Eli to go, she knew how much he wanted to succeed.

The moment they have all been bad waiting for : Eli's turn . he broke both boards, and now the last one....
he missed.
his face fell, and he looked just heartbroken
"it's okay, we are still in the lead! you did great Eli" she pulled him into a hug, and consoled him

Miyagi-do wasn't first on the leaderboard, but cobra kai was. great. Eli had gone against Robby, and won!! he has regained his confidence . and amara was against tory next; the round that would determine who won the all valley.
"bow to me, bow to eachother. fight" the referee waved a flag , and the fight started. Tory struck first, and amara easily dodged. amara hit her in the stomach.
"point Moskowitz"
Tory swore under her breath, and they carried on.
hit, dodge,hit,dodge.
after the first point, no one could get a hit . Amara swept tory to the floor, and she was about to land a point, Tory elbowed her in the eye.
"HEY! REF! THATS NOT FAIR!" but the referee ignored it and told us to keep going. her she felt like it was going to fall out of its socket, but she kept playing. because she was distracted, Tory hit her in the stomach
"point Nichols!" the referee said
"time out" amara walked over to daniel
"i can't do it . my eye hurts."
"well put her on defence. you're better at offence so you'll end the match" he patted her on the shoulder and the game started again.
amara caught tory off guard and hit her,
"point Moskowitz"
one more point and she wins. she just wanted this to be over .
Tory swept her and tried to land a punch, but amara rolled over and got up, kicking Tory but she turned around and hit her again
"point Nichols!" shit. last point wins it all.
The circled eachother, when Tory came running at her. she dodged and threw her to the floor. Tory got up and backed up. amara took this moment and hit her. surely that's a point?
"REF THATS A POINT" daniel shouted
"no, she was out" tory wasn't out, and the crowd screamed and booed the ref. tf?
The tension was terrifying. Tory made it look like she was going to punch her in the face, and when amara lifted her arms to cover her face, tory switched positions and punched her in the stomach

the audience was roaring. she had lost. she bowed to tory and the ref, then ran to the bathrooms.

"amara, are you on here?" a door opened the stall she was in
"anthony" she wrapped her arms around him and sobbed in his shoulder
"it's okay. you did great. she played dirty, you deserve that win. but it's fine. you were amazing out there" he hugged her back, and stroked her hair
"she was my best friend, and you saw what she did to Eli" her tears were now tears of anger, not sadness.
"thank you" she said
"for what?" he asked
"for being here" she kissed him. it was true, she was grateful for everything he did to help her. and she couldn't help but fall in love with this boy.
