"You got bronze...?" Himo asked, now awake.
It was 11:30 at night and you were cleaning the house. You looked over at the man. He wasn't drunk anymore and he held your medal in hand, marvelling at it.
"Yes..." You looked him up and down. Something was off.
"Interesting..." He placed it back down by throwing it carelessly on the table.
"Hey Himo." You walked over to him, he looked over his shoulder at you. "What do you remember about Kaiya?"
"Who?"
You've got to be kidding me. "Really? You can't remember your own children? Do you even remember Koomi?"
That sparked something in him. He stood up with an unreadable expression and turned around. You slowly back up, unsure of what he'd do next. Your back hit the wall after 6 steps. Himo sighed.
"What did I say about...that name?" He gritted his teeth. You looked anywhere but him. If he got any louder, he'd wake up Zaida, Putzie and Sangwoo.
There was a silence in the house. The clank of glass made you look up. Himo then threw the glass bottle directly above you, it shattered and broke on you, cutting your nose. Himo grew into a rage.
You slid down and covered your face as he flipped the table and broke the pot plant.
"WHAT DID I SAY?!" He shook his body like an angry child.
When he finally calmed down, you touched the stinging spot on your nose. It was close to your eye. Too close.
"You could have blinded me." You say with distaste.
"It's just a scratch. Don't be overdramatic."
A light flicked on from the rooms. Sangwoo and Putzie must have woken up. Himo's head snapped up, looking at the light. You grew alert when he moved past you, going straight for the boy's room.
You jumped up and pushed Himo back. He stumbled back, looking at you with shock an angry. Your shoulders drew inwards as Himo's fist collided with your face. You fell back down on the floor. His quirk.
He'd used his quirk on you. He had the ability to take energy from one thing and put it in another. He used it on his fist, taking power from a nearby lamp. You could feel the bruise already forming.
Now I have to deal with that.
"Don't you dare, say that name again." He pointed his finger. "You say with hatred, when all she ever did was love you."
"Love me?!" You stood back up. "She was out hooking up with men, buying and selling drugs or doing literally anything but look after us."
"She made you dinner tonight! She's been caring about you for the last 10 years!" He yelled.
"I made that dinner! I'm 15! We've had this conversation before!" You yelled back.
Himo sighed and planted himself back on the couch, shaking his head.
"Your mother loved this famil-"
"No...No she didn't. You know that Himo, she didn't care for anyone but herself, just like you." You fire back, cutting him off.
"You don't know what you're talking about! She was only a little ill!"
"A LITTLE?!" You screamed, slapping your hand over your mouth. You were going to wake everyone up. "Are we remembering the same woman? The one who forgot her two twins 50 minutes after they were born? The one who tried to sell herself for fun? The one who almost dropped a baby? The one who made everything about her?"
