Skylar's POV

Do you know that feeling when you feel like you don't belong somewhere? When you feel like an outcast? Not really included? Yeah, that's how I was feeling right now. I was leaning against the wall in the living room which was filled with drunk people. Laura was supposed to be right back and bring us some drinks, but there was neither Laura nor the drinks.

I honestly don't understand why everyone likes to party. All they do is getting drunk, sleeping with some random people, and getting up the next morning with a massive hangover. Not to mention about those who are just waiting for you to do something embarrassing, so they can record it and post it on twitter or whatsoever.

While I was just awkwardly standing there and watching this circus in front of me, I suddenly felt hands on my waist.

"Why are you standing here all alone, little one?"

I felt someone's breath near my ear. I looked up to see a guy, a very handsome guy I ain't gonna lie but he wasn't that handsome. His hair was brown and a bit curly.

"I...I was..."

God, I'm so pathetic. I felt overwhelmed and couldn't make a proper sentence. He was a very intimidating guy.

He was standing so close, too close for my liking, and his hands were roaming over my waist. I was gawking at him with my wide eyes and didn't know what to do. He smelt like alcohol and cigarettes. What a combination... I didn't like it. I wanted to push him away but he had a strong grip on my body.

"What's your name?" He asked, eyeing me up and down with his barely open eyes, while trying to stand still.

Is he wired?

"S-skylar" I stuttered and he hummed in response.

He grabbed my hair strand and swirled it around his finger, humming.

"Such a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl." Ew I was just looking at him and wanted to go already. "Care to dance?"

When I was about to decline his offer, thank God Laura suddenly appeared and interupted our little encounter. She pulled me away from him and pulled closer to her instead.

I don't know what's with those men. Do they really think that if they flex their muscles and say some shitty pick up line, women will be throwing themselves on their necks? Well, maybe many would do that, but certainly not me.

"Leave her the fuck alone Jacob! Go back to your whores!" She hissed out.

So his name is Jacob.

"Why so harsh Laura? I just wanted to make a new friend here." He said with a cocky smile, looking at me and licking his lips.

"She already has one. She doesn't need such an asshole like you as a friend."

He didn't even had time to answer to that because Laura took my hand and started walking, leading us somewhere.

"Look, I'm sorry. I bumped into a friend and we chatted for a while." Laura said with an apologetic look on her face.

"It's okay, really."

She brought me into a room where a big couch was standing in the middle of it, a couple of armchairs, and some people were sitting on them.

"Hi guys! This is my new flatmate Skylar. Skylar, this is Jace, you met Alex, these beauties are Monica and Jessie and here is Flynn."

She pointed at everyone and I waved my small hand at them, smiling bashfully.

"Hey! Am I not a beauty too?" A guy with blonde hair and brown eyes asked, pouting.
