I watch from the window. A crash comes from inside as patches drop his phone on the floor, and silent sobbing as tears stream slowly down his face. I breathe deeply while I prepare to step inside the house. *door creaks open*Patches: JOHN! *he sobs*John: Bubba please--Patches: I'M NOT YOUR BUBBA ANYMORE!John: You-- YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!Patches: WHAT?! WHAT IS IT I DON'T UNDERSTAND JOHN?! TELL ME!I choke back my tears.John: I... I couldn't stand the way you looked at him.. the way you talked to him.. everything it..its all..Patches: Do you realize what you've done? Do you even regret it?John: You just don't get it. I DID IT FOR US!Patches: THERE IS NO "US" ANYMORE, JOHN.His words sting as they ring through my ears. This is it. This is my breaking point.John: If I can't have you..
