◦ ◦ ◦ ONE WANTING NOTHING TO DO WITH LOVE while the other wanted everything to do with it.
◦ ◦ ◦ SHE WASN'T SUPPOSE TO LOVE OR BE LOVED. hated the idea of it. she had witnessed what love could do to one and she didn't want it. her parents loved each other yet cheated every chance they got. her last real relationship ended when she caught her partner cheating. and ever since then, she knew love was nothing but a word. it didn't mean anything so why even bother with it. well that was until she meet him - jackson avery, the very man that annoyed her and the very man that slowly made his was way in to her cold heart.
◦ ◦ ◦ HE WASN'T SUPPOSE TO FALL IN LOVE, he was suppose to focus on his work and prove to his family that he was more than his name. he wanted to show everyone that he didn't need his family's name to show everyone that he was a great surgeon. he wasn't suppose to love someone so much that it physically hurt, he wasn't suppose to fall in love with someone who didn't want anything to do with love, but he did. he fell in love, so in love that he stopped caring about his family's name and made it his mission to show her that love wasn't just a word. that love could and will end with happiness and ever-after.
