I woke up and changed into my normal clothes. I went to the hospital and picked up Sarah and took her home. I texted Jay.
Madi: hey. Can we meet up for a beer later?
Then put my phone down. I sat on the couch by Sarah. We watched movies. Around lunchtime we ate out at her favorite restaurant. After, she went and spent time with her parents. I looked at my phone.

I went out and grabbed my keys and went to Mollys. Everyone was there. A few minutes later Jay showed up.
Madi: I wanted to thank you. Jay: why. Madi: for saving Sarah. Jay: come on that was all you and we both know it. Madi: No. if you hadn't been there at that time she'd be dead and I might be dead too. Jay: No. Madi: yeah. Jay: No.
I smiled.
Jay: what? Madi: there's no sense in saying no when we both know you saved the day. Jay: ok but you found her. Madi: ok so we both saved her. Jay: I can live with that. Madi: good.
We talked the rest of the night. After we were walking to my car.
Jay: tonight was really fun. I needed that. Madi: oh me too. It was nice to let go and just talk. Jay: yeah.
We made eye contact. The next thing I know, our lips were connected. We kissed. He wrapped his arms around me as we kissed more.
Madi: my house, ten minutes? Jay: definitely.
