2.OH THE PAIN

Set in mid s9, cas is human
"CAS! NO!" Dean screamed as he saw a vampire draining his friend's blood from his body. In a matter of seconds he ran over to the creature and sliced off it's head in one swift motion.
"Cas!" He cried out as he held his friends' almost lifeless body. He thought this would be an easy hunt, a a small vampire nest just outside Pontiac, Illinois. He thought it would be easy enough for Cas. He thought wrong. He pushed the dead vampire off his friend and out of the way. He kneeled down next to Castiel.
"Cas! Cas please, please answer me!" He begged as tears rolled down his face.
"Dean.." Cas coughed. "Dean.. I don't have much time.. Don't leave.. Please.. Don't leave me...Sing to me.."
Dean nodded. "Okay," he choked out.
He remembered Cas listening to the same song on repeat, for a week straight. The light behind your eyes, by My Chemical Romance. He took a shaky breath, and fresh tears leaked from his eyes.
"So long to all my f-friends, everyone of them met tragic ends, with every passing day, I'd be lying if I didn't say, that I m-miss them all tonight. And if they only knew what I would say
If I, could be w-with you tonight, I would sing y-you to sleep, never l-let them take the light behind your eyes." Dean had to pause, he could barely manage to get out the words, but he had to.
"K-keep going." Cas said, "please."
Dean nodded.
"One day I'll lose this fight, as we fade in the dark, just remember you will always burn as bright."
"Dean, I n-need to say s-something."
"Yes, Cas?"
"Dean Winchester, I l-love y-" He was cut off, a final, almost silent breath escaping his body.
"No, Cas! Cas, no, no, no don't you die on me!" Dean cried, pulling Cas's body closer to him.
"Cas, I love you too.." He whispered as he sobbed into his angels body, hugging him tightly.
