Sivaangi (Let's out a heavy sigh. Head lowered and in feeble voice): Actually there is something I have to tell you Taru.

Tarunya: Wow is it? I thought I already knew everything about my best friend🤔 Don't tell me you hid a crush story in the fear of me hitting on him coz of our similar taste in guys!

Sivaangi: Well it is a crush story, but nah that's not the reason.

Tarunya: Alright go on. I'm all ears.

Sivaangi: I had a crush on your brother.

Tarunya: Oh ok.... Wait WHAT?! You have a crush on my br.o.ther??

Sivaangi: Correction. I "had" a crush. Not anymore though, I've moved on now. And yeah it was your cousin anna Ashwin Kumar. You heard that right. I knew you would react this way. This is why I was hesitant to open up about this all this while.

Kirtana (Laughing hysterically): Woahhh! Now that's news. All this while I randomly used to ship you guys coz I thought you guys would look good together. But I never thought my ship actually had a chance of sailing.

Sivaangi turns to glare at Kirtana. The latter actions as if zipping her mouth immediately. Sivaangi then holds a poker face and an awkward silence prevails as she doesn't know how to proceed further.

Tarunya: Well go on. I want the full tea now. What? When? Why? Where? Howww?

Sivaangi: Woah calm down a bit would you? It's a long story.

Tarunya: Well it's a Sunday afternoon and we don't have much to do. So we pretty much have all the time in the world.

Sivaangi (sighs): Alright alright. I'll tell you. So you remember the first time you introduced us to each other in our freshmen year?....

Flashback 1 - Sem 1

Tarunya (on the phone): Ya ok Achu. I'll be there at the DH (dining hall) at 1 pm. I'm still figuring my way around uni so I'm getting my friend Sivaangi along with me ok? Don't try and convince me otherwise. Ok bye! (Cuts the call without giving a chance to the speaker on the other side to speak further)

Sivaangi: Who was it and why did I hear you mention my name?

Tarunya: Oh nothing. I mentioned about my brother right? We're having lunch with him today at 1 pm.

Sivaangi: We, as in all 5 of us?

Tarunya: Nah, the others are busy. So just the two of us.

Sivaangi: Are you sure? I wouldn't want to interrupt a family moment.

Tarunya: Now don't try to escape. You're coming with me. DOT. Now go get ready.

Sivaangi (groans): Ugh. Alright alright. I'll get going.

Sivaangi and Tarunya walked over to the DH at 1pm. As they entered, the cool breeze of the AC hit their face.

Tarunya (Pointing towards Ashwin seated at a table slightly in front): Oh look there he is!

Sivaangi turned to look at where he was seated but only managed to see his side profile. Moreover, Ashwin had his head bent over his phone. So Sivaangi wasn't able to spot him clearly. They slowly walked towards him and reached him.
