As Sun sat on the bridge, legs swinging, they thought about how nice the other animatronics must have it, being allowed to freely roam the pizza plex, his thoughts wandering, in fact, they didn't even know what the other animatronics looked like, only the animals they were, maybe he could ask one of the guards or the kids. The daycare attendant was so absorbed in their thoughts that they didn't notice one of the guards walking towards them.
"Hey Sun! You good?" The guard called as they climbed onto the bridge. "You look sad, what's up, mate?"
"I want to explore, but... I can't." He hung his head, rays almost closing. "Moon can go anywhere he wants, but I'm stuck here... My programming doesn't let me."
"I'll tell my boss that, but in the meantime, want to play hide-and-seek?"
"Thank you, yes, and I'll count." Sun stood up, shaking the bridge a little.
As Sun went to count, Cherry ran through the structures, eventually opting to hide in a small hole. When Sun found them, they couldn't stop laughing, telling Sun that he had walked past them multiple times. Their game continued just like that, every time ending in fits of laughter, until it was 5am, when Cherry had to take the attendant for their weekly maintenance, where they apologized profusely before letting him in there.
"It's alright, Sunshine, they'd have a lot of trouble if they harmed me."
"I will ask if it is alright for free roam to be activated, even if only at night, okay?"
He nods a "thank you" and leaves Cherry alone with their thoughts.
Cherry goes back to the upstairs part of the plex and goes to find the nearest security office before they're cut off by a close sounding "Hey, kid, where are you?" Very clearly Monty. A few seconds later the gator came around the corner.
"Hi Monty." They manage to get out, voice shaking because of the scare they were just given.
"Hey, laser beam." He says as he squats down and then finishes with "Have you seen a kid running around. Brown hair, striped shirt?"
"No, I'm sorry, Sun and I have been together this whole time."
"Alright. If you find him, tell Vanessa, she told us all to report to her if we find him."
"Will do!" And with that, Monty left, leaving them with Their thoughts once again, before they collected themself before they carried on walking towards the office that was nearby.
They were in the middle of typing an email to their boss, when the were startled by the thudding of metal and a loud "I can hear you!"
"Roxy!" Cherry shouts out of the room "It's just me, I'm sorry." They shout, not realising that Roxanne was standing right behind them.
"Cherry... there's something you need to know" She says, peering over their shoulder
"What is it? Is it something bad?"
"That kid..." she growls, "has been destroying everyone... Chica..." she looks down at the mention that her girlfriend has been destroyed and Cherry turns around, horrified. "Even Sun? What about Monty? Freddy?" They speak fast, getting more and more concerned as the seconds pass that Roxy doesn't answer them.
"Not Sun... or Freddy... but Monty has, entire bottom half separated from his body."
"You're joking..." They say, voice cracking.
"No. I wish I was, Monty was like my brother." She pulls Cherry in for a hug before saying; "Monty found his way to the stairs when I found him pulling himself along and he told me that he wanted to meet Sun before his battery dies, so I did, thankfully I remembered Chica telling me where they were." Cherry couldn't stop the tear falling down their cheeks. "I'm sorry, but you needed to know... I think that kid's coming for me next."
"Roxy-" was all they managed to get out before they broke down.
"It's okay. Finish what you're doing and join them... I think you'll want to."
~Just earlier~Sun POV~
"Is that rule breaker back again?" He asks himself as they hear the slide being used.
"Too heavy" Moon whispers and Sun shakes it off, there wasn't any need for Moon to speak now. They climb up the slide and when the got to the top, the "security alert" died in their voice box when he sees what he presumed to be Roxanne Wolf and Montgomery Gator, so he slid back down allowing them in.
"What are you two here for?" Sun asks. Why would anyone come visit him?
"Monty wanted to meet you before his battery died. I'm Roxanne, Roxanne Wolf."
"It's nice to finally meet you Roxanne, even despite these circumstances." He simulated a grunt as Roxy presses Monty into their arms and they look up at Roxy, getting why she did. "Don't worry, I'll take care of him. Oh! Wait. We keep spare batteries in the security desk in case of emergencies. I can't remember which drawer." He says as they pat Monty's head "don't worry, you'll have a better battery in a second."
Roxy replaces the battery already inside him with the spare.
"Thank you..." Monty croaks out
"I'm sorry, but I have to find that kid before he takes anyone else apart. I hope there's a next time we can see each other." She says as the walks towards the huge doors, and with that... she's gone and Sun hugs Monty closer to his chest as he sits them on the floor.
Some time later, Sun wasn't sure how long it had been, Cherry appeared through the massive doors, pausing to quickly wipe their tears away before coming further in.
"Oh my god! He's been..." They pause, searching for a better word for 'fucked'... "Totalled."
"Yeah..." The attendant seemed quite upset himself so Cherry placed themself sat next to the pair.
"I'm so sorry, Monty."
"Not... Your fault..."
"It's that rule breaker. Don't blame yourself for this, sunshine." Sun chimes in as he strokes Monty's 'hair'.
"I'm glad he went to you, Sun. You're so nice."
"Thank you..."
"It's fake kindness" Moon whispers in the back of Sun's mind "Nobody actually cares about us, we're too creepy!" Sun shakes their head.
"Is it Moon?"
"Yes." Their grip on Monty tightens, "sorry."
"No. Whatever he's saying, it's wrong, don't listen to it." They say as they embrace the two, and once again, they stay there, for however long they do, but it's enough time for them to notice their surroundings until incoherent screams from the other guards are heard and smoke is smelt from outside.
"Go!" Sun screeches and pushes Cherry "Get out of here! Live for me, sunshine."
"I can't- I won't!"
"Please, just go, I can't leave... remember, stay safe for me."
Cherry starts sobbing again as they leave out of the nearest fire exit, leaving Sun and Monty clinging to each other while the smoke fills the area, enveloping them in flames as well, melting the plastic off of their endoskeletons. The play structures are gone. There's nothing left of the staff bots who were first caught in the fire or any of the small party rooms surrounding them.
Sun swore he heard Monty say "Thank you." And "I'm sorry" before their wiring was burnt out, and the rest of their bodies melted leaving nothing of them, nothing to recover.
