I see him in your eyes

Tommy stood there watching out the window, checking every where with his sky blue eyes, before huffing and ploping himself on the couch of the living room with a pout.

His older brother came in through the back door, rolling his eyes at the little irritated kid before walking straight to his room. This has became his daily routine. Wake up, eat, look out side the window, eat, go out to wait in the garden, eat, wait some more, go to sleep, repeat. It seemed that with each passing day, the kid became more consistent but more upset at the same time.

Wilbur knew he was a very stubborn kid, with not too many friends, but still, it was getting annoying. He had tried playing with him, distracting him and even starting a fight, but it didn't work. Not that he would ever admit it, but the brunette missed his brother's loud screams and wild laughters that filled the house everyday. And so did Phil.

He knew it wasn't a permanent thing, but it saddened him. He knew his son was lonely, not the best at making friends, but he had a heart of gold and his father couldn't bear the sight of his sadness.

Breathing out a small sigh, he gave in.

-"Tommy," the man said, getting his youngest's attention. "Go get ready."

Confusion, and the slightest bit of bitterness, washed over his face. "To where?"

-"Let's go visit Tubbo."

Tubbo, hadn't told Schlatt about that evening, not wanting to get punished for wriggling out of his responsibility, so he didn't dare asking him for permission to go back to visit. He thought he could burry the memory and be satisfied with what he had, but with each passing day, he missed the warm feeling of that house more and more.

He didn't expect the small family to remember him either, so it took him by suprise, when two weeks later, a pair of unexpected guests came over.

He was at the stables, with the horned hybrid, cleaning it up, dead in sweat, when someone called out from the garden.

-"Hello? Is anyone there?"

The voice had a ring of familiarity but he didn't dare to think about it. The older stood up, confused as he started to walk out, the kid silently trailing behind him. The man pushed open the stable doors, walking out, before answering. But the younger stayed hidden behind the wooden barriers, peeking ever so slightly to see what went down.

-"Mr. Minecraft?" Asked the brunette with a raised eyebrow, questions swarming in his brain. No one ever came over for business, always waiting at his shop in the market instead. Let alone to bring a child along as well.

The man turned back suprised but his characteristic smile replaced it instently.

-"Hey Schlatt! How have you been, dear friend?"

Friend? Sure the man was a regular customer, but friends? Something was out of place and he didn't like it.

-"Good, good. What brought you here? Did you want to order something?" He asked knowing full well the answer was no.

The blonde laughed slightly and joyfully before answering, his friendly behavior not flattering in the slightest, all while his son held his hand, standing silently.

-"No, not really, mate. We're actually here for Tubbo. He lives with you, right?"

And the kid's heart dropped on the stable floor as the older brunette's face shifted to a mixture of concern and anger, a small frown set on his face.

-"Yes, I'm his father." The boy's heart stopped beating, his blood running still as he suspected his ears were deceiving him, but a warm feeling crept in nevertheless.  "Did he do something wrong? Did he cause any trouble for you when he was over?"
