Chapter 4

Today was the day.

Shrek got up to the sound of his alarm and got dressed. He picked out a nice brown suit and pants and a swamp green shirt underneath. Finally, he got a red tie and tied it around his neck. For once in his life, he didn't look like mud. He then went in the bathroom and put on 69 layers of deodorant because he is extra smelly. 

He was finally ready. It was 9:07 and the date was at 9:30. 

I still have time before my date

He quickly booted up his computer and went on Minecraft. He played for a good 10 minutes before realizing that he was going to be late to his date. He rushed out the door and pulled out his phone.

He ran towards the cafe while looking at the GPS on his phone.

'You will be at your destination in 10 minutes' the GPS stated.

"Phew, I have some time." Right now was 9:17 and he would be there at 9:27 according to the GPS.

he ran towards the first cross walk and waited for the light to turn the right color. He stood there for a good minute, until a car drove right through a large, moist puddle right next to Shrek. 

He was all soaked! His new brown suit that he got from the town dump yesterday was ruined! It was now a murky brown color and he smelled like piss.

Shrek stood there in shock as the other people kept walking past him, giving him wierd looks. He then remembered his date.

He cursed under his breath and scurried off to the next destination. 

Once he arrived at the coffee shop, it was 9:42 and he was still soaked and moist.

He looked around and spotted the waiter. He waved for him over.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" The waiter asked.

"I have a table reservation for two, Shrek." Shrek replied, still upset that his clothes were ruined.

"Come right this way, sir." The waiter beckoned to a table.

*Sussy POV*

I still can't believe Shrek stood me up! I thought he wanted to go on this date!

I looked up from my phone as a waiter came towards me. "Right here, sir" he said.

I was confused, it didn't look like he was talking to me. I sighed and turned back towards the window.

I then heard a loud sigh and felt the table shake a bit as someone sat down. 

I quickly looked up, startled by the sudden noise and shake.

And there he was, the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.

"Hey, I'm Shrek! Are you sussy?" He said in his low, majestic voice.

"I- um y-yea Sussy. That's the name, uh n-nice to meet you, Shrek." I stuttered, embarrassed.

Damn. I knew he was hot, but not this hot! The way his moist ears flop when he talks, and how he had the brightest smile. I looked right at his sharp jawline, tracing it with my eyes. He soon started to get red. Oops, I must have been staring for a while!

"Oh, sorry." I muttered nervously, looking away. 

"Oh, you're fine, I should be the one apologizing! Sorry I arrived late, there was a little mishap on the road and I got splashed." Shrek rubbed the back of his neck.
