Cassi tried her hardest to ignore Oliver Wood the past few weeks, though it was rather difficult since she sat next to him in DADA. He would always look at her like he wanted to say something, but Cassi ran out of the room as soon as class was over, never giving him the chance. Quidditch practice took up most of her time anyway, getting ready for their first game soon.

That brings us to the present: the Halloween feast. Cassi was sat next to Sophie. Olivia sat across from her with her brand new boyfriend. Cassi thinks his name is Daniel, she doesn't remember. The four of them sat there, chatting and eating away, when Professor Quirrell burst through the doors.

"Troll! In the dungeon," He shouted and then fainted. Everyone in the Great Hall started screaming and tried to run away.

"Silence!" Dumbledore shouted. Everyone stopped in their tracks. Dumbledore told everyone to follow the Prefects back to their dorms while the teachers went to find the troll.

"You know," Olivia started. "I don't understand why we have to go back to our dorms. Did they forget Slytherins are in the dungeons?" She made a fair point but Cassi didn't feel like arguing so she just shrugged her shoulders. Olivia scoffed and rolled her eyes. Olivia didn't bring this argument up to anyone else, she just followed our prefect down to our dorms.

A few more weeks passed since the troll incident, meaning it was time for the first quidditch match of the season: Slytherin vs Gryffindor. Cassi had been extremely nervous and it showed. She wasn't doing as well in classes right now and she over worked her team a bit. She was hoping that bit would pay off at least.

Cassi was sat next to Sophie in the Great Hall, nibbling on a piece of toast for breakfast. She was afraid she'd throw up if she ate anymore.

"Can you eat something else?" Sophie said, the ever caring mother of the friend group. "You don't want to be starving on the pitch."

"I also don't want to throw up on the pitch." Cassi said, putting down the barely eaten toast. "I'm just not hungry, anyway"

Sophie just sighed and rubbed her friend's back. Suddenly, an owl swept through the hall, everyone confused since this wasn't the usual time for post. The owl was carrying a long package over to the Gryffindor table. It dropped in front of Harry. Cassi stood up to see what it was. Harry slowly opened the paper and revealed a broom.

"I'll be right back," Cassi said to her friend and went over to the Gryffindor table. "That's a nice broom you got there," she said to Harry. He just looked at her, horrified. "I know it's your first game so good luck," Cassi smiled at him, made brief eye contact with Oliver, and walked out the doors. It was time to get ready for the first quidditch game of the season.
