Cassi made her way through the barrier that led her to Platform 9 3/4. She trailed behind her parents a bit hoping no one would stare at them too much but they did anyways. She scanned the crowed for her two best friends, Sophie and Olivia. She spotted Sophie right away with her beautiful red curls and smiled to herself knowing she would soon be away from her father. Cassi turned her attention back to her family and gave a sad smile to her mother, whom she loved very much, knowing she would have to be in empty house now that Draco was starting his first year at Hogwarts. Of course, her mother smiled back and pulled her in for a warm, tight, motherly hug.

"I love you so much," Narcissa said. "I know you will do great things this year."

Cassi pulled away from their hug and looked up at her mother. "I love you too," she replied, a little choked up knowing her mother thought so highly of her. She turned to face her father and brother, who looked like they were having a serious conversation. She decided not to bother saying good-bye to her father and pulled her mother back in for another hug.

"I know this is already your fifth year but this never gets any easier," Narcissa said with a small laugh.

"I know," Cassi said. "I'll still miss you. I have to go now, I see my friends over there."

"Ok. Good-bye, sweetheart," Narcissa said and gave Cassi a kiss on the top of her head.

"See you soon," Cassi Said as she waved and walked away in the direction of Sophie.

Cassi and Sophie made their way onto the Hogwarts Express, arms linked and giggling about nothing in particular. On their way to the Slytherin section, they bumped into none other than Oliver Wood. Literally bumped into him.

"Oh! I'm so-" Cassi started to say until it registered in her mind who exactly it was they had ran into. She just cringed a bit.

"You're so what?" Oliver asked, his accent making Cassi's stomach to a flip that made her hate everything.

"Nothing," She said, rolled her eyes, and dragged Sophie away to continue their walk to the rest of the Slytherins. Oliver turned to watch them walk away until they went into the next carriage and he couldn't see them anymore.

Cassi and Sophie finally made it to their designated section and immediately found their Olivia. She had already claimed seats for them. Unfortunately for Cassi and Sophie, Olivia had her current boyfriend of the month in there with her and they were all over each other. Cassi and Sophie looked at each other and sighed in slight annoyance before sliding the door open to interrupt them. Even with Sophie loudly opening and closing the door, Olivia did not turn her attention away from the boy. Cassi coughed very loudly a few times hoping that would work, and it mysteriously worked. Olivia looked at them, clearly annoyed.

"Um, do you mind?" She asked.

"No not at all." "I do, actually,"  Sophie and Cassi said at the same time. They looked at each other and started laughing obnoxiously. The boy just sat there, very confused. Olivia rolled her eyes a bit.

"Well, since you guys are here now, this is my boyfriend, James. James these are my friends I was telling you about," Olivia introduced.

Cassi and Sophie gave polite smiles and waves.

"Ah," James said. "I've heard quite a bit about you guys."

"I'm sure," Sophie deadpanned. "Anyway," She continued, turning to Olivia, "How was your summer?"

"It was great. I spent a lot of it with James," Olivia blushed.

"Anything from the trolly?" The stewardess poked her head in and asked.

"I'll have some chocolate frogs and licorice wands," Cassi said just so she did not have to partake in the riveting conversation her friends were having behind her. She paid for her stuff and the stewardess was on her way to the next set of kids.

Cassi sat in the corner of their compartment, staring out the window while eating her candy. She thought back to her interaction with Oliver Wood for some reason. Since she was in her own private thoughts, she allowed herself to remember how he looked. She'd be lying to herself if she said he wasn't handsome. Though with him being a Gryffindor and her a Slytherin, she knew he could never like her and it could never be. She would settle for their arguments in the classroom and their rivalry on the quidditch pitch, which will probably be worse now that they were both team captains.

A light tap on her shoulder brought her back into the compartment she was seated in. it was Sophie.

"We're almost to the school. We should go get changed."

Cassi nodded her head and grabbed her uniform. She followed Sophie out the door, leaving Olivia and James to hold their seats. They quickly changed and swapped places with the other two so they could do the same. Cassi went back to her seat by the window and allowed herself to, once again, think about Oliver Wood.
