After the weekend had passed, Louis was for sure that Monday was going to be a lot different than it usually was. On Mondays, Louis was terrified of going to school. The thought of dealing with everyone and their torment left him shaking at night. Even the teachers scared Louis immensely. But when Saturday had passed and it was Sunday night, Louis was excited for the morning. For once, he had something to look forward to.

Louis came up with the plan while showering, which was where most of his best plans were created. He decided that the only way for things to move along in his life was to give it all a little push. Louis knew that he had seen the boy somewhere else, in one of his classes. It took Louis awhile, and some searching in year 10's yearbook, to figure out where Louis had seen the boy.

Zayn Malik was a troublesome kid of sorts. If he was off his medication, the teen was apt to want some type of destruction. Anyone could pinpoint Zayn's lowest moments just by his actions. When off medication, Zayn would get into fights with anyone. Once, he had thrown a desk at a teacher because the woman had refused to let him call his mother. A couple minutes later, the boy had fled to the bathroom to puke his guts up in one of the toilets. They let Zayn go home with a week's suspension.

That was really the worst thing Zayn had ever done. And Louis knew, for a fact, that Zayn was a completely different person on meds. He was rather happy and quiet, always resorting to the back of the classroom. To the back of Louis' Chemistry class to be exact. Zayn, being so quiet while on the meds, often worked alone on everything. And because the school didn't want to risk any more outrages, they just told the chemistry teacher to just go with it. Zayn worked better alone than he did with others anyway.

On Monday, though, Louis assured himself the only way to get things running along was to push them. Push them, and somehow everything else would just fall into place. Louis was going to sit down right next to Zayn and be his partner for the day. Louis' partner, Marisol Brown, was a tiny girl with lots of health problems. She was rarely at school, which caused Louis to have to join a separate group anyways. Which meant that Louis was working all by himself, except for when his partners tried to look busy when Ms. Annie turned around for the first time that day. She cared more about the current sales on Amazon than she did her students.

The next morning, Louis could barely finish his breakfast from all of his excitement. He wasn't sure when the last time he had felt this excited. The blue tiles that covered the kitchen walls from Jay's recent Martha Stewart phase no longer seemed gloomy.

Louis was out the door right when the timer on the microwave beeped, telling everyone it was time for school. Louis usually took the bus to school, and then straight back home. He really didn't have anywhere else to go but there. But, today, it was time for something different. While Louis' sisters all piled into the back of Jay's car, Louis started to walk towards school. It wasn't that far away, and he really did need to lose some weight. Walking surely would help him.

"Louis, love, are you sure you want to walk all the way to school? There's still room right next to me," Jay had called out the window while the car full of women drove next to him. Louis looked over only briefly before shaking his head.

"N-no, M-Mum. I'm perfectly f-f-fine," Louis replied. If it was a week ago that Louis had decided to start walking home, he still would have refused. Louis was against seeming like a burden to his family. He didn't want to make things more difficult by his means.

Jay sighed sadly and started to roll back up the window. "Okay, Lou. You stay safe, though. And hurry up. I really don't want you being late."

Louis just waved goodbye, yelling an 'I l-love y-y-you' to her as she drove off. When Louis had finally arrived to school, he was starting to question his life and why in the Hell he needed to push it himself. Louis' legs felt like they were about to blow up any moment, and he was sure that if he didn't hurry to class now, he would be late. Maybe walking all the way to school wasn't one way to change Louis' life correctly.

As the day went on, Louis was starting to wonder if maybe Monday was never going to be a good day. There was something off about Mondays. In fact, Louis was sure that the bullying did start on a Monday, right at school. But he wasn't really into keeping track of when his life went to shit. He was more concentrated on whether this all was a good idea or not. Life was just telling Louis that today was not his day.

It started with the torture that was walking to school. Then it was slipping in the canteen on the way to his first period, right into a pile of milk. Which no one cared about, unless it was to laugh at Louis. Someone probably spilled the milk in that spot just for Louis to slip in. For shits and giggles. Then it was his pant leg getting a couple drops of piss on it from a lad next to him in the loos. Which was one thing Louis hadn't dealt with yet. He had to silently compliment the guy on coming up with something new. But the kid looked genuinely sorry about it, so Louis let it slide. But it was just another thing to add to Louis' superstitions. Then, it was English. Of course, English was a right Hell that Louis had to deal with for most of his week. But, today, it just seemed worse.

Mr. Langston wasn't very nice about anything when it came to Louis. It seemed like no matter what Louis did, he could have done better. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do anymore. Louis was trying his absolute best, and he was getting proper grades. But, to Mr. Langston, enough was not enough. There was always room for improvement.

That particular day, Mr. Langston had decided, without Louis' consent, that it was the day for massive improvement. He wouldn't stop making Louis read, of course, in front of the whole class. Louis stood at the podium next to Mr. Langston's second desk and tried to read a story from their English books. It took all of the hour just for Louis to get past the first page. All because Mr. Langston made him re-read every word when he stuttered.

"W-where-"

"Again. "

"T-to."

"Again."

No matter how hard Louis tried, he would end up re-reading whole entire sentences while the class snickered. Louis couldn't help but to wonder what Mr. Langston had against him. What made Mr. Langston hate Louis so much that he would force him to read in front of the whole entire classroom.

By the time lunch had come around, Louis didn't even want to go. He just wanted to curl up into a little ball in the corner of his locker and shut himself away. There was nothing good about what was out there, waiting for him to come out. But, Louis couldn't even fit in his backpack in the lockers. There was no way he could fit the rest of them inside of there.

Right when Louis got his food, he walked to the library. He was determined to make at least one thing right. Even if the rest of his day had gone down in the dumps. just this one thing could turn all of Louis's life rightside up.

Louis went inside slowly, dodging people as he went. He was hoping that the boy would come in soon, so Louis didn't look weird with a tray of food in his hands. As if he was some sort of mind-reader, the boy popped inside. He walked over to Ralph, then had a quick conversation before heading up the stairs. Louis watched after Zayn before he headed over to Ralpth.

"Hello, Louis! What are doing in here?" Ralph asked, noting the tray of food in Louis' hands.

"Um. I w-was w-wondering if I c-could eat m-my lunch in h-here," Louis murmured, smiling a little.

Ralph look Louis up and down. They had known each other for awhile. Ralph used to be a teacher back when Louis was in kindergarten. Louis wasn't sure what made the man want to go work in a secondary level library. But Louis wasn't going to complain. Ralph helped Louis through a lot. Not just with picking out some new books to read.

Ralph smiled and nodded, pointing up at the stairs. "Up there, there's this little club. They meet up every single day for lunch, and sometimes more than that, to just hang out. They call themselves some kind...name. I can't remember. But their little meeting area is upstairs, the last door on the left. You can go up there any time you need to."

Louis smiled back before looking at the stairs. He approached them slowly, starting to wonder if this was a good idea. If he really should take the risk of barging in to that room. But when Louis looked back, all he saw was an encouraging smile from Ralph and a bunch of curious people. Louis made his way up the stairs and to the room.
