(Chapter 4) Preparation

We were helping Team RWBY set up everything in the ballroom and most of us were thinking about what should they even wear at the dance. Yang was picking up a big speaker and Ghost and Roach was setting up the chairs and balloons. Ruby was... sitting down at a table... with her head on her arms. I on the other hand was setting up the decorations.

Weiss: Ruby! I need you to pick a table cloth!

Weiss sets the table cloths down in front of Ruby. Ruby looks at the two.

Ruby: ... Aren't they both the same?

Weiss: ......... Ugh! I don't even know why I asked!

Weiss walks away from Ruby. Yang puts the speaker down by Ruby. Ghost and Roach finished putting up balloons and chairs. Desti on the other hand, she also helped decorate the place. Ghost and Roach approached me.

Ghost: That everything?

Y/N: No. We still got some things left to set up.

Ruby: What's the point.....? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going.....

Yang: Oh. She's going. I'm sure of it........ Wait.... Weiss! I thought we said no doilies!

Weiss: If I don't get doilies, you can't have fog machines!

We looked over at the two. Then ballroom door opened. The people that were there were Neptune and Sun.

Neptune: Your dance will have fog machines?

Weiss looks at Neptune and looks at him with an eyebrow raised.

Weiss: Why? Do you have some sort of interest in these things?

Neptune: I don't mind! I think they are pretty cool.

Weiss: Whatever......

Sun: You ladies ready for dress up.

Ruby: Yeah right...

Sun: Uh... Alright.... What about you guys?

Ghost: No, I'm not.

Roach: Neither am I...

Y/N: Me and Desti are ready. Just need to figure out if we are going with a partner.

Sun: ....... Are you two going together?

I frowned at him. Then Desti raised an eyebrow.

Y/N: What does that mean.......?

Yang: Oh... right.... Desti is his sister. Forgot to mention that.

Sun: Oh......... No wonder you guys were close. I was thinking you two were lovers.

Y/N: That's just wrong and awful....

Sun: It was just my assumption! You understand right...?

I shook my head. Then we examined his clothes and wonder what he might wear to the dance.

Roach: Question: What are you two gonna wear for the dance?

Sun: Uhh this.

Neptune: Ignore him, for he knows not what he says.

Sun: Hey, I may have move to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt and tie kind of place.

Roach: Noted.

Ghost: We noticed.

Sun: So... what does Blake think of all of this. She's still being all... you know... Blake-y?

Weiss: Obviously.

Ruby: I still can't think of a way to change her mind.

Y/N: Yang said she'll go and I'm sure one of you is able to convince her.

Yang: Haha. You know I can. See you guys at the ball! I'm gonna talk to Blake.

We watched her leave. We waved her goodbye.

Y/N: So......... everything done now?

Weiss: You and your team may go. We can take it from here.

Ghost: Thank god. Getting tired of putting this shit up.

Y/N: Right. Let's head to our dorm then.

We started walking out of the ballroom. Then exited. We start walking to our dorm. Then Desti tapped my arm.

Desti: Hey... big brother... Uh... Do you really think... someone is planning to sabotage us... or worse... attack us...?

Y/N: There's a chance...

Desti: What if the team we spoke about... really are evil? What if... someone in our team betrays us...? Do you think that might happen?

Y/N: .......... I hope not. There's a chance for me because of this... semblance. The thought of having to kill you guys... is scary. I wouldn't even trust myself.

Desti: Yeah........ I'd hate to see myself having g to kill you as well...

We kept walking, but this time we didn't say anything. I cut culled and decided to mess with her. A tentacle came out of my back and went behind Desti. It tapped her on her left shoulder. She turns around to see nothing.

Desti: What...? What-

It tapped her again, but on the right shoulder. She turns to it and yelps. I chuckled. Then she punched me in the arm.

Desti: Don't do that!

Y/N: Sorry! Sorry! I couldn't resist!

Eventually, we got to our dorm. I sat down on my bed as Ghost laid down on his. Roach sat down at a table and opened a laptop.

Ghost: You gonna ask Weiss out?

Y/N: Right....... I forgot about that......

Roach: Idiot.

Y/N: I heard that!

Roach chuckled and continued going through the laptop.

Ghost: I'm gonna say that Neptune will be the first one to ask Weiss to the dance.

Y/N: But.... We'll see..... But for now we could hang out, talk for a bit, or play some games.

Ghost: Video games, so I can crush you all!

Roach: I doubt that...

Desti: Hahah! It's on!

We continued playing until it was night time. Still... I don't know if this dance will go well... since I'm a bit nervous, but we'll just have to wait and see it for myself.
