Conrad stood two feet behind Sera, his black hand digging for gold in his nose, as he examined the super computer in front of them."ASS meet Conrad Forest, Conrad meet ASS." Sera spoke, she seemed to be glowing.
"Welcome Conrad Forest, I am Assassin Stalking Software, also known as ASS." The super computer spoke.
"I've meet god, two angels, and a talking super computer named ASS, and it hasn't even been twenty four hours yet... I hate my life."
"It won't be yours for much longer, now shut up and listen." Sera demanded. "ASS was designed by me for this specific task, to find the rest of your group the Devil's Advocate, and I think it's got a lead on a murder that's going down soon."
"Wait a second, are you telling me this thing can predict the future?"
"Not so much as predict the future, it works like this. ASS takes everything we know about the group, how they kill, who they kill, what weapons they kill with ect, combined with news articles, online postings, and anything else it can get ahold of to make an educated guess on location, or possible targets for the members."
"And it got a hit?"
"Yep, a hit on a hit." She smiled obviously happy with herself. "A drug lords daughter living in Santa Barbara California." She said, as the super computer pulled up live satellite images of an extravagant beach mansion.
"Living the good life I see." He muttered.
"Her father's a dirt bag, low life, who kills for what he wants, pumping so many drugs through the Mexican border it's almost impressive that he hasn't been caught yet. With a total of 100 million in the bank and countless more in offshore accounts he's definitely made a name for himself."
"He and his wife," she said not resisting the urge for air quotes, "are throwing their daughter an 18th birthday party, and ASS caught chatter on the dark web that some very important people have taken a special interest in the party, and one of these important people moved one million dollars out of one of their secret bank accounts in the Bahamas, just a week ago."
"Whens the party?" He asked, examining the bank statement.
"In a week."
"Smart, moves the money two weeks ahead of schedule, well the down payment anyway, has he been moving more than he should other than that in the last few months, because one million is a good down payment but no one from my group would accept a job for under 15."
"Umm... Not that I've seen, all relatively normal."
He groaned. "Ok what actual proof do we got that this person wants to hire a hit, or at least a hit from the Devil's Advocate, because I don't know if you know this but theirs more assassin's out there, and to some one million would be an amazing payday.'
She shrugged. "It's the only thing we have to go on, and you never know maybe he worked out some type of payment plan with them, or they have a secret stash hidden that could be enough for the payment, but only the payment, and maybe he need the million for the down payment alone."
"Really we're going off what ifs and maybes." He frowned, imagining the waste of time she was dragging him into.
"Yep!" Her smile was wide.
She's enjoying this.
"In the meantime you're going to do recon on the target, and her living quarters."
He groaned.
"Friends, family bodyguards, pets, neighbors, hell even the neighbors pets, I want you to investigate any and every possible entrance or exit, any weakness within her circle, any possible way a hitman could get to her."
