Chief sat quietly -alone- on a small Autobot Stealth Shuttle, flying silently above the ancient rubble of Cybertron. The pilot looked back towards the Spartan-II and nodded his head, signalling for the Mech to prepare himself for a quick descent towards the planet's surface.

Nodding back with haste, Chief stood up from his seat and grabbed the side of the ship's open door. The Spartan swiftly took notice of a large crater embedded into the planet's surface, revealing an abundance of thick wiring and energon that leaked from its innards.

Chief remained silent as he reached for his assault rifle and rushed towards the exit of the shuttle, leaping onto the battlefield. Activating his thrusters, Chief glided through the ash-ridden skies and positioned himself to land behind an myriad of shattered buildings.

Pivoting his body downwards, the Mech continued plummeting down towards the metal surface before landing in a kneeling position, his right fist smashing against the ground. The Spartan stood up from the floor and held onto his assault rifle, scanning the area through his visor.

Battered walls and gargantuan towers was all the Master Chief could see, smoke and flames decorating their outer surfaces in abundance. Once he'd confirmed a lack of Decepticon forces in the nearby area, he continued wandering through the broken down metropolis.

With every step Chief took, more chaos and devastation was revealed to his optics; There were no signs of intelligent life, only the empty ruins of a once-lively civilisation surrounded by piles of alloy rubble.

The Spartan-II continued swaying his weapon from side to side, checking every angle, until he came to a sudden turn through the crater. He stopped for a moment before shifting his body to the left and continuing down the simulated pathway.

However, nothing could have prepared the Mech for what he was soon to witness; Clearing past an abundance of debris, the Master Chief was frozen in place upon noticing his new surroundings. He lowered his assault rifle by a few inches as he eventually continued forwards.

Autobot corpses littered the entire land, their corpses strung up on long spiked and left to rust in the wind. Energon leaked from their mouths, eyes and joints. Everywhere was covered in a layer of patina that threatened to block the Chief's sensors with their thick overlays.

From the corner of his eye, the Chief realised innocent civilians were also included in the list of casualties as their bodies were piled in corners of flattened tower structures, their limbs shattered and torn from their joints.

Nothing could describe the nightmarish scene laid out before the Spartan, the endless slaughter proving almost as nauseous as some of his lone wolf missions during the Human-Covenant Wars back on Earth; Utterly sickening.

Shaking himself from the atrocious scene, Chief readied his assault rifle once more and continued walking through the death trap of Cybertronian husks. He treaded much lighter than he did previously, showing an ounce of respect for the honourable soldiers that were offlined.
