Your POV

Hello, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and I had one goal for myself; keeping myself happy and smile all the time, even through the dark times. I probably told myself that so many times, that it became a force of habit. What keeps me happy all the time is my older sister, Yumi, and some of the activities I do, which is writing romance stories and volunteering at the local day care center.

As much as I told myself to stay happy during the hard times, I am sorry to say that doesn't work all the time. At night time, when I am normally alone in my room, I would cry and sigh a lot in my sleep. Truth be told, Yumi and I were close with our mom and dad. They were really nice, and we loved them very much. However, that all changed soon enough. My mother caught my father cheating on her, and left us. That broke my mother's heart, and it led her to do... something stupid, which involved a rope and a really tall tree.

Indeed, I was heartbroken that she is no longer with us. Nowadays, me and my sister are living with dad at his new house, and while I was happy that we have a roof over our heads, the fact our mother is gone didn't make it better. To this day, I held my dad responsible for her death. After all, they've been in a loving marriage for so much, so why break it up?

"That should do it..." I said to myself after completing a romance novel I have been working on for the last three weeks.

As I said before, I enjoy writing romance stories, and whenever I get a story done, I would take a break before starting up a new novel.

"How should I spend my break, though?" I asked myself before looking outside.

It was a nice day, so I could go outside and enjoy the sunlight for an hour or two, and who knows, maybe I might encounter something

"Okay, why not?" I asked myself as I grabbed my vest and headed outside.

Location - The Park

I just walked in a random direction and I found myself at tbe park. It wasn't my intention to come here, but it was fine.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of activity going on here, or so I thought..

"Wow, look at that girl go." A random person
said in amazement.

"Yeah, it's amazing that she is able to do this without fail." Another random person added.

I stared at what the person were staring at. There was a girl who was juggling with balls
on a unicycle.

I'll admit, I don't think I can do that. The girl
was a blond with matching yellow eyes, and she had quite the smile.

"Alright everyone! Watch carefully!" The girl said as the audience had their eyes glued on
the girl, myself included.

She threw all of the balls high in the air, did a backflip off of the unicycle and caught all three balls. Everyone clapped and cheered for her, and they had big smiles on their faces.

"Thank you! It's nice to see everyone's smile from my little performance!" The girl said.

I must say, she was a bit odd for juggling on that unicycle, but the ending was something I didn't see coming. She stared at me and before I knew it, she walked over to me.

"Hi there! Did you catch my performance?" She asked.

"Yeah, I did." I replied.

"Did you like it? Did it put a smile on your face?" The girl asked. This one is full of questions, huh?

"Oh yeah, it made me smile alright, though." I answered.

The girl couldn't be more happier.

"Oh that's good to know! And seeing you smile is already making my day!" She said.

Now I felt embarrassed.

"You... like my smile?" I asked.

"I like everyone's smile, but there is something about your smile I like the most." She said.

No one has ever liked me for my smile before, so I guess you could say that I was even more embarrassed.

"Thanks, that's kind of you to say."

"No problem at all."

"By the way, what is your name?" She asked.

"Oh, my name?"

"Yes. I have a feeling I am going to see you a lot, so I would like to know your name." She explained. She's not wrong, I had that feeling, too.

"Oh, then... my name is (Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N)." I said introducing myself.

"(Y/N) (L/N)..." She said and began to go silent.

"Do you... not like my name?" I asked.

"Are you kidding? I love that name!" The girl excitedly replied.

"You do? You really like my name?" I asked.

"Yes. I'm going to remember that name for now on." She said.

"That good to know, umm..."

"Oh, right. I haven't told you my name, have I?" She questioned.

"No, I don't think so." I said.

"Then I'll tell you. My name is Tsurumaki Kokoro, and my goal is to make the whole world smile." She said as she pointed her finger at the sky.

Making the whole world smile, huh? Well, after what I saw a while ago, I believe she can make that happen. After all, she was able to put a smile on my face and many others, too.

To be continued

A/N: Hello, everyone. Welcome to Beacon of Smiles. I had a feeling this book is going to be easy to write about, since I am apart of that Hello, Happy World! cult. Plus when I do write about Kokoro, which doesn't happen a lot, the chapters end up being longer than it needs to be. Hopefully I can imply that magic into this book.

See you in the next chapter, and have a good one. ;)
