"Ah, great. You're finally awake. We should talk." The voice echoed into her mind. It puzzled her, it was a familiar, yet eerie voice.

The girl opened her eyes. She was surrounded in darkness, a completely empty space, until she saw a glow the shade of green radiating behind her. She turned around, and saw herself.

It wasn't a mirror. She looked down at herself; she was wearing her red shirt and leggings, just like when she came into the museum. However, the girl standing in front of her, was wearing the glowing emerald robes she'd seen back when fighting Bloodfire.

The robes were draped over her shoulders, shining as though covered in green glitter and light. Her eyes were a vivid green as well. It was the same when Alicia glanced at her reflection; the glowing eyes. The difference was that Alicia's green came from the circles in her eyes, the annular irises that she had, spun rapidly and vividly. The girl in front of her; her eyes were completely filled with the glowing green.

"Who-who are you?" The Alicia in front of her, smirked, as though she found her question amusing.

"I'm surprised you didn't connect the dots. I'm the Enchanting Emerald. I'm you, though not quite." EE, short for the Enchanting Emerald, casually flicked a spark of lightning into the darkness that surrounded them.

"Y-you were the one who talked to me. The voices and visions. All the lightning and my powers..."

"Correct. The power we wield, it's so powerful that I can destroy the entire world with just a wave of my hand. But you... you just want to play the hero, huh?"

Alicia gaped at her, her heart pounding. "Are you... like an alter ego or something?"

"Alter ego..." She let out an evil laugh, chuckling to herself. "That sounds like I'm evil. Nah, I'm... the version of you that you want to be."

"But all those destructive thoughts, you've been telling me to destroy things and kill-"

"And that's what's so beautiful! You want to be stronger than anything. Destroy those who try to undermine you. Break out of your cage. But you just don't know it."

Alicia shook her head in disbelief. She didn't enjoy killing or hurting others. She just wanted to be free of her intrusive thoughts and her anxiety. If it meant being a maniac and destroying whenever she felt like it, she didn't want it.

"No I don't. I don't want to be like you." EE smirked again, she turned and began to walk in a line. Staying away exactly a metre from the girl.

"Don't you, though?" EE played with a spark fluttering around her fingers. "As I recall, you were using these powers to try and destroy those men. To gain control of them."

"To stop them from killing people. I don't want others to get hurt."

"You don't want others to get hurt... What's the point? They're weaker than us. Just give up, you can't save them. They'll die either way." Alicia gritted her teeth.

"You're DEFINITELY not who I want to be. You're an evil version of me. I'd rather be a hero than a killer."

"Ugh. I swear, you have no idea what you're saying. If I could just kill you right here right now..." EE clenched her fists, her arms were adorned with sparks.

"Then why don't you? Kill me. I'd rather die than become you." EE laughed again.

"Don't you think I would've done that?" She stepped towards Alicia and raised her hand, but it triggered a grey barrier that appeared where she'd touched it. There was something blocking EE from entering Alicia's side.

"But still, I can't help but admire your spunk. The fact that you'd fight for your ideals. Impressive. But still, you're too weak to do what has to be done."
