Chapter 14

SAGE LORENZO POV

It's been months since she's disappeared into thin air and no one knows a thing. We had no leads absolutely none. Then I thought back to the last day I saw her and how she was supposed to come into work. I had the brilliant idea to see if anything happened at the office that day. I went through hours of footage and there it was. The clip that solved this entire fiasco. The day that that whore Jessica decided to pounce on me and make a move on both of us. Gio came back from the gym and needed to borrow a button-down for the meeting. Jessica simply barged in and tried to claim us both to then blabbing on about how Mila was unworthy. It all makes sense now. But why would Mila leave without hearing our side of the story? I was so mad. I had enough of Jessica and her tactics. I called up Gio and told him to meet me in the basement of the warehouse. I called my men to track down Jessica and bring her to the dungeons. I debriefed Gio on what information I had found and we proceeded to do damage. Jessica was no longer breathing so to speak. We lashed out all of our anger at her. When we got home Gio broke down in my arms crying saying and I quote "he missed his baby Mila so much". I can't lie I did too. 

*****MILA POV*****

Lalo and I had a good dynamic going on. He was more of a friend than anything else. Friends with benefits that is. Can you believe that I was now six months pregnant? My mom had enough and is flying out to see me and staying with me throughout the rest of my pregnancy. When she found out I was pregnant and didn't tell her she had a full-blown yelling session. To say she was pissed was an understatement.I picked her up from the airport and to my surprise Sky was with her as well! It was a session of crying and more crying. I brought them back to my apartment."Oh guys I go by Angélique now...you know for security reasons""But that's your birth name. People can't know you're a Lambert" Maman respondsYou see I took my mom's last name when we moved to the States and Mila is my middle name. So nothing about my names are technically fake. But when my dad disappeared for a good amount of years we had to disappear too."Any updates?" I inquire"Yes, so the boys know you ran. They actually found out two months ago after looking through some footage at the office" Sky replies.I slap myself mentally. Great just great now they know the truth and hopefully they won't come looking."Well, nothing we can do about that now. Let me show you guys to your rooms"
