Clancy looked towards his 'roommate' (read, jail cell buddy), who was muttering to himself and writing up a storm in a notebook that was in the cell. The human hybrid looked away from the man and came up to the window of the cell. His wings flickered like mad as he sensed around for bugs. His roommate stopped muttering and began to observe him. Clancy stared out as a few butterflies began to gather at the window.

"Do you know where I am?" Clancy whispered to the quite beautiful butterflies.

The colorful insects waved their antennes around, their own wings deathly still. His own wings flickered as the bugs talked to him.

"Why am I not surprised..." Clancy whispered to himself. He then whispered to the butterflies, "Do any of you happen to know a way out?"

One of the butterflies flew into the cell, the hybrid following its movements. His cellmate pointed all of their attention towards the butterfly as well. The butterfly landed on a chest in the corner of the room, antennes waving around once more. Clancy blinked at the bug before grabbing the chest and pulling it away from the corner. His cellmate raised a brow as the chest moved to reveal a hole dug in the corner of the room.

Clancy smiled. "Why thank you, little one," he said, allowing the bug to land on his hand. It waved its antennes a bit before flying back out and away with the rest of its swarm. He folded his wings to be closer to his body and he jumped into the hole.

He looked around before quickly crawling down it. The hybrid wasn't sure how long it would be until the guards realized he was gone.

"Mind if I join you?"

Clancy turned around, noticing his cellmate crawling behind him. The hybrid shrugged. "I'm not bothering to stop you," Clancy replied as he continued to crawl.

As they crawled, the tunnel became darker and darker. His cellmate (escape-mate?) muttered something under his breath. Clancy blinked a bit before his vision blurred slightly and was tinted with light blue. The hybrid continued, ignoring the other's confused expression on what just happened.

Eventually, the tunnel came to an end. Clancy stopped at the end and looked around. His wings wanted to flicker, but he forced them not to. The hybrid looked towards the other, who had a hand on the ceiling. The other grinned like mad, placed both hands in one place, and pushed up. Something shifted upwards and he made a noise as said thing was pushed out of the way. Clancy tilted his head slightly before the other climbed out through the hole the object hid. He came to the tunnel exit, looked down the way they came, then climbed out as well.

Clancy finally let his wings snap up and allowed them to hover him around as the other replaced what was blocking the exit. He looked up at the night sky. The moon was full and the stars twinkled around it.

"Well, I'll say that was a success," the other said, immediately taking out a device that looked like a sleek metal stick with a light at the end of it. He pressed it and looked at Clancy. "Now excuse me, but I need to find something that can help me with my experiments. Once, of course, my bird gets here."

Clancy blinked at the madman, wings flickering slightly.

The man continued, "Maybe there would be some DNA to take from that Area 51 place, maybe some sort of vault those weird 'Forever Knights' people have. Imagine if there was something out there that held pieces of DNA of everything on this planet..."

Clancy raised a brow at the other's muttering. Then he remembered something. The hybrid said, "Would you settle on alien DNA?"

The man looked weirdly at him. "What makes you say that?"

Clancy landed on the ground, saying, "The town I was in when I was caught. It's full of creatures that are so otherworldly that I wouldn't be surprised if they were all aliens."
