A week into his first year, Snape found he loves DADA (Defence against the dark arts), and potions class. He and Lily talk occasionally, but he's become bitter and jealous that she's enjoying herself without him. He recently started scribbling all over his new potions book: Advanced Potion Making. Learning how to improve his potions and adding new spells. He even made a couple of spells. Severus called himself "The Half Blood Prince". James Potter and his little gang were constantly picking on him. Lily, he noticed, is extremely defensive when it comes to himsef. The relationship between James and Lily is very peculiar. They are friends, but not when Severus was ever mensioned.
