I spun around quick in shock and slipped off of the bridge. Out of reflexes I clutched onto the edge of it. The person who had called out ran over to me.
"Don't let go!" He yelled over the sound of the water. I started slipping and tried to grasp at something to pull me up but instead...I fell...
As I hit the water I could hear the man yell and suddenly everything went black.
Timeskip
I wake up somewhere comfortable but hear voices so keep my eyes closed and listen.
"It looked like he was trying to grab something but fell. I don't know if he let go on purpose though..." The man from earlier said.
"Oh my god is he okay!?" A female voice said.
"That sounds terrible!" Another female voice squeales.
"Should we go check on him now?" A male voice asked.
"Yes, I think so. I know it does. And yes, we should check on him" The man replies to them all. I sit up and they all look at me.
There is a girl with brown hair and purple bangs, next to her is another girl with one red eye and black hair that was tied back and next to her was a taller guy with pale skin and black hair.
My eyes move on and I see him. The one who saw me fall. He is kinda short, had stubble and brown hair.
"How did...I get...here" I croaked.
"I brought you here" He says starts to point at the other people, "That's Minx and her girlfriend Krism, and that's Ohm. And I'm Adam"
I nod and look around to try and spot my stuffed cat.
"I'm Max...Where's...The cat?"
Adam walks out of the room and walks back in with the grey toy and passes it to me. It smells as if it's just been washed and dried so I hug it close to my chest. Adam turns to the others and whispers something to them and they nod and walk out. He walks towards me and sits on the sofa that I am on.
"Why would you jump?" He asks me.
"I...Mom...No home...She kicked me out" I try and say but I can't form full sentances. He peices together what I said.
"She kicked you out? Why?" He asked.
"I...I'm...Gay" I whisper and try to hide my face, ready to be hit or yelled at.
"Y'know, I did say that Minx and Krism are dating. You have no need to worry about being hurt here. How long have you been on the streets for?" He asked and I remove my hands from my face.
"Few months" I say and start coughing violently. He calls for Minx to bring in a drink and she does. I drink the water and stop coughing.
"Hey, go take a shower while I set up a place for you to sleep" He says and point me in the direction of the bathroom.
Once I'm in there I remove my jacket and my shirt and look in the mirror. My ribs were very visiable and it honestly didn't bother me.
I looked down my wrists to see that the jagged scars were still there. A voice from the door made me freeze.

"Oh my god..."
